Unused vb Tags
Viewing my guide might be a little tough if you are using the Halloween background or another black background. I would suggest quickly turning it to default.
Just a while ago I was looking at the vb code list. I came across a tag which I've never seen used. It's called the spoiler tag. So let's say you wanted to post "In the new movie..." but you want to keep it hidden so only the people that want to see it do. This is what it would look like in spoiler tags: In the new movie... To see the text inside the spoiler, just move your cursor over it. Now here's how you can make your own spoiler tags. [spoiler]Hidden Text[/spoiler] Please note that pictures, colored text, and smilies will not work in spoiler tags. Different sized text will work however. Links sort of work. Strike-outs, bold, italic, and underline also work! Example Outputs: Colored Text Different Size Picture Link BoldItalicUnderline Important note: Quote:
Another tag I've never seen used is the strike-out tag. [s]Text[/s] ------------------------------ If you are wondering how I am posting vb codes without spacing one part, I am simply using another vb code. [COLOR="Green"]Blah[/COLOR] [noparse][COLOR="Green"]Blah[/COLOR][/noparse] ------------------------------ To see the complete list of vb codes, go here: http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode I hope you learned something new! we don't use the spoiler tag here. We have discussed it as mods but decided against it as a simple "SPOILER" alert in the title should be sufficient.
The bullet tag is used quite often, though EDIT: I stand corrected, apparently the spoiler tag has been added. Guess we discussed it to the point of inclusion

I've tested some things with spoiler tags and I added the examples of what the output looks like in the spoiler tags section of the first post. I've also divided the sections.

My suggestion when using the spoiler tag is to type some sort of note stating "Spoiler" so that anyone who is using a different color background (such as black) can see that there should be something following that word.
Warning Spoiler This is an example of what I was speaking of
