This Week in VMK! December 15-21 Welcome to the latest installment of our feature, This Week in VMK! Take a peek into VMK's past as we remember some of the things that were happening...this week in VMK! Click on the links to get more information from our VMK DOW wiki! 2005: December 16th-18th Mountains Of Fun Event Staff show off their river rides to players, answer ride building questions, and give pointers during the Mountains of Fun Event.  I think I need some of those pointers! December 18th Gift Giving Event Over Requests for gifts are no longer accepted. Players will have to wait for December 24th for their gifts to be delivered. December 19th Released  The Briar Patch Guest Room is released. December 20th Newsletter Top Players: CL_LisaWDW, CL_Sharkdad, DBourque, qruthie, HauntedGrim, and jentink VMK Give-a-Gift deadline has passed VMK Top Tips: VMK_Bingo is interviewed. 2006: December 15th Released  The Holiday 2006 Chanukah Pin is released. Give-A-Gift Begins Players can now start submitting names for this years Give-A-Gift. Gifts are still 500 credits. December 18th Released    The Holiday Chair Yellow, Santa's Chair, and Candy Cane Red are released. Retired The Holiday 2006 Chanukah Pin is retired. December 22nd My VMK  My VMK is added to the VMK home page. 2007: December 14th-16th VMK Holiday Ride-A-Thon  Players can earn prizes by riding the VMK Holiday Ride-A-Thon. Players received the Flat Mint Block Red and Gingerbread Block on the 15th and the Gumdrop Chair Yellow and Gingerbread Block on the 16th December 15th Released  The Flat Mint Block Red is released through the VMK Holiday Ride-A-Thon. December 16th Released  The Gumdrop Chair Yellow is released through the VMK Holiday Ride-A-Thon. Retired The Flat Mint Block Red is retired. December 17th Newsletter
December 18th VMK Jolly Holiday Quest   Players can win themselves the Holiday Hat Blue by playing the new VMK Jolly Holiday Quest. Retired   The Gumdrop Chair Yellow, Gingerbread Block, and 2007 Holiday Ornament Donald Pin are retired. December 20th Released  Introducing gifts! The Red Surprise Gift is released.  Boooooiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg! December 21st Released     The Skull Rock Holiday Guest Room, 2007 Holiday Ornament Minnie Pin, Candy Lollipop Flower Red, Candy Lollipop Tree are released. Re-released   The Candy Cane Red, Holiday Chair Blue, and Mickey Christmas Tree are re-released.  Thanks for reading and join us again next week as we remember VMK's past

In 2005, I hadn't started playing yet. I started either right before or right after Christmas 2005. Now I took about a 3-month break starting in January 2007, so that December before in 2006 would have been me winding down and spending time with friends. In 2007, I remember the gingerbread competition but it doesn't stand out in my mind very well because I didn't participate.
December has always been a busy month for me.

seeing that splash mountain ride start piece, brought a tear to my eye. it reminds me of how long my friends and i spent having fun designing our rooms and working together to create a successful ride haha it was so fun. i miss vmk.
