hijaked computer...

my computer got hijacked.. now, whenever i search up something (vmkf, vmk, anything at all)
it gives me all these links to bad sites, and nothing about my actual search.
Now i can only get to sites i have on favorites- and this is sooo annoying
can someone please tell me how to get rid of this virus?! please hurry..

doesn't hi-jacked refer to like someone is IN your computer and they can get to your personal info? @_@

i have no idea thats why i need to get rid of it.
no my parents dont know...
but the searches are way innapropriate and i need to get rid of this!!!!!!

oh and here's more info
after i search something, there is a pop-up that says
"WARNING!!! your coputer had been hijacked with (insert innapropriate junk @_@)"
anybody have any ideas how to stop this?! please!! l

You might try clearing your cookies and deleting your internet files. If you have virus catching/deleting software on your computer, I would suggest running a scan.

go to start -> all program -> Acsessories -> System Tools -> System Tool that what i do when my computer is not working i just restore it to a earlier date oh that reminds me after u have to click on a earlier time and then it should work but after that u wont be able to go on stuff u went on today (as of 1-13-08)

If that doesn't fix it, I know something that will fix it...but I doubt that you'd want to do it (except as a last-resort). Reformatting your computer.

reformat your hard drive, use linux? try bsd?. all the above will completely rid you of a virus.
