Safari's a great browser - if you have the resources. It's the fastest one I've ever tried, but also the least customizable.
I don't like Google Chrome, and haven't had much of a chance to test it. As soon as they make it run in one individual process, instead of one process per tab, (I run about 2-10 tabs at a time), I'll be happy with it. My computer doesn't need an additional 10 processes bogging it down even more.

Yeah, but sometimes those resources have a hefty price tag...
Firefox is a great browser, but in my experience, IE always seems to be a bit faster. One of the reasons why IE has these kinds of epidemics tied with it is the number of people who use it. Firefox is coming up fast, but IE is still the internet browser that is most commonly used worldwide. If you want to make a virus, I'd think you'd tie it with the browser that is used the most. However, I do agree. Microsoft's IE division is really behind in their virus protection department, and that's a huge part of the problem. |
