New Moderators?

Some of the moderators here are doing a great job. Others could do better. When will we get new mods? I think we should.

I think we have a
good amount of mods right now
because not many people are
that active on this site, now that
vmk has closed. The mods are doing
great right now and i think there is a perfect
amount of them at the moment.

being a moderator
isn't something that you just switch and take
turns. you have to earn to become one
and once you do, you stay there until
you either do something bad or give it up.
you don't just get news mods and the
old ones go back to regular members

The only reason I can think of is that alot of the mods retired around the time vmk closed or a little ealier, resulting in a large decrease in mods. Although with the new report feature that makes up for the mod decrease because it's like having a bunch of little mods running around trying to keep this site safe. Although it would be iteresting to have more mods, I think I heard a while back from Batleth or Jezibabe that it takes too much time and energy to train a new mod so they won't have one for awhile. That's from memory so it may be false.

Given the number of posts daily and the fact that the game this site was created for no longer exists...

The likelihood of new mods coming on board is lower than the likelihood of us shutting down the site.
