That bullet is only used on the Main Page and Fansites page. Pretty limited use in the former, and pretty unnecessary use on the latter. But since these are both pages we share with all of DOW (and not just the VMK part), it is certainly a place to tread lightly.
Personally - I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are bigger fish to fry than worrying about bullets.
