Shouldn't you wait after the third serice pack or so...since Windows doesn't care about checking their systems for bugs? I'm not upgrading just yet...

You can get a free upgrade to any new service packs if you already own Vista. Plus service packs may take up to a year after the first release to come out. And yes, Microsoft does check Windows for bugs, Vista had one of the largest OS Beta testing in history.

allowsas, this question is for you primarily unless someone else here can answer it.
I'm going to be running Ultimate 32-Bit and would like to know if I should upgrade now or wait? Will everything I have working on XP, work on Vista currently? iTunes, Photoshop, Quicktime, etc. |

PS. another helpful hint to everyone who is upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista, make sure you do a few full system checks with your Anti-Virus programs to make sure your computer is in full working order. You may also want to delete some programs you no longer use to free up some extra space on your computer. Hope I helped!

XP is working fine for me at the moment, and I see no reason to switch. I'll upgrade to Vista when I buy a new computer that comes with it installed.

Those of you that wish to watch the full Webcast of Bill Gates and a couple other Executives, you can go to www.microsoft.com and then select that option from the list. From there, you choose the quality. The total runtime is something high, like 1:30. I don't remember, nor did I look.

Most likely who only have 512MB RAM instead of 1GB like they want us to have. Not the CPU. Although they may have an old one which will slow it down.
