Windows Vista is officially Launched!

Hello fellow VMKFers,

I would just like to announce to everyone that the newest version of Windows has finally been released! I know some of you, who are all technical, like me, watched the live webcast of Bill Gates and a couple of other people get ready to launch it.

I just wanted to share a word, that if you get Windows Vista, and it doesn't work, or you simply don't know how to use it, please, PM me. I have all the versions of Vista, preordered. (6 from misc. computers and 5 that I personally bought). I can make pictorials, though I would rather not.

Even though I didn't watch the webcast, I was waiting for this moment because I'm a computer guy as well.

Yay! Windows Vista and Office 2007 are here!

By the way, who is getting Windows Vista Ultimate? I am when I buy my next computer!

I've only got 512 MB of RAM and I'm planning to upgrade to Home Premium, which requires 1 GB of RAM. Does Windows Ready Boost allow you to just use a USB thumb drive to upgrade RAM? I'm pretty confused on the matter.

It is pretty hard to do though. Trust me, I haven't figured out why anyone would do that, and/or what software to use.

I just did some research and it appears when you plug in a USB thumb drive, SD card, or most other data storers, you get an option in the window that pops up to "speed up your computer". It then allows you to choose the amount of data you want to use for RAM.

If this is how it works, that would be great. It seems too easy though.
