Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland: New Things From Outerspace

Recently over my spring break while going to WDW, I noticed something in Tomorrowland. My apologies from them not coming out clear, however I was on the TTA when taking them.

And yes I do know what it is, and shall tell me soon enough.

If my memory serves me correctly(and it normally doesn't), they are tearing down the stage area in tomorrowland to make a new site for Stitch's Supersonic Celebration it's some kind of interactive dance party show. It looks pretty exciting, thank you for sharing pictures.

-Sigh- I wanted to build some suspense but you caught me. Yup that's what looks like is headed there.

I quote from disneyworld.com:

Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration is a musical stage show that celebrates Galaxy Day in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom theme park. Get ready to party with a high-energy dance troupe and a very special live video appearance from Stitch. Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration is scheduled to debut late spring 2009.

A live broadcast of the Tomorrowland News Network, with your host Tip Trendo, is interrupted by a video transmission from Stitch, who has "borrowed" a space cruiser assigned to cover Galaxy Day—a special celebration where everyone around the galaxy celebrates everything worth celebrating.

Stitch is always up for a good party! Join Stitch, Tip, the singing Galactic Girls and some surprise guests for an out-of-this-world party filled with music and dancing. Learn some space-age dance moves and groove to old favorites and original songs with the intergalactic crew on stage.

Just because Stitch appears on a screen, don't think this show is the same every time! Stitch interacts with the audience, and every show is a unique experience filled with fun and surprises.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it.

It seems like they are really trying to save money this year. For the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" promotion they added several costly attractions and decorated the castle with Disney characters, while for "What will you Celebrate?" they are adding a show. I don't know, it sort of seems like a let down to me.

Agreed completely. And Tomorrowland ,in several different ways, seems like it has been taken over by stitch.

That's what Stitch does! Remember when he came out how suddenly he was one of the two characters who had the most collectible pins made of him outside the Fab 6 (the other was Tink)? And Stitch dressed as Elvis with a ukulele- classic!

The economy is weighing everybody down, including Disney. They are laying off and firing people in several departments. Things are not looking good.

The SSC seems kinda cool, but I'm not judging it until I see it. I'll try to take pictures next time I go to help get a better view, which I'm sure Stitchco is going to do also.

Aww no problem. Its quite alright and also what you said is not true. They've added American Idol: The Experience and Move it! Shake It! Celebrate It! and the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure which is why it took so long.

There has been plenty of newer attractions and festivals this year, so I won't even begin to complain. Disney World is great how it is, in my personal opinion. Since the beginning of 2009 they kingdom unveiled lots of new things and we basically have the rest of the year to see what else will be added .
  • Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival
  • Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios
  • ...and the attractions Stitchco posted

LOL, Well that shows how much I go to Disney World, huh?
I'll be looking forward to reading your guide and I'm excited for yet another Stitch attraction.

I understand that, but it still seems like a let down. Tomorrowland is one of my favorite lands so I was excited to hear another attraction was going in and I found out it's a stitch dance party. It doesn't exactly compare to Space Mountain or carousel of progress.

I'm sorry let me rephrase myself. They haven't added any really exciting, cool attractions like they did during The Happiest Celebration on Earch. I see several flaws with the new American Idol show. First, the American Idol fan base is falling drastically. Second, unless you see the last show you won't know who wins which would be a let down. As for the parade, it sounds very similar to the Toy Story Block Party Bash parade. The only thing that sounds half way interesting is the Kim Possible World Showcase considering they really don't have anything like it.

Actually the American Idol: The Experience show has got quite some technology, has a few laughs with their version of Simon, and is very interesting. Remember not to judge an attraction by its cover until you go on it yourself

And Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure is actually more interesting than it may seem. With all their add-ons to the world showcase it is my new favorite thing to do when I'm in EPCOT.

I never said it wasn't interesting, I'm sure it is. I just don't like the idea of not knowing who wins. Not to mention I'm not a very big fan of Simon. Making fun of people's physical appearances and voices is ridiculous at his age, he should know better.

My cousins and I are looking forward to the Kim Possible World Showcase. They love the concept that you get to see things that you wouldn't normally see unless you did Kim Possible World Showcase.
