For the strum patteren I guess just watch videos of people playing the song. That usually helps me.

What kind of guitar do you have Thriller? I have a Fender Stratocaster from 1989, an Epiphone Es3-35 also from 1989, and my Mom's yamaha acoustic. I have a Kustom amp too.

I also have a Boss CE-5 Chorus pedal which is very nice
I own a Fender Stratocaster, a Gibson SG and a Gibson Les Paul. Right now I'm looking for a Flying V. I have a Vox wah-wah pedal around my house somewhere. My amp is Vox too.

Hey, I'm thinking about trying to learn the guitar or bass (after I finish up piano lessons). Maybe during the summer I'll try.

How would a beginner start to learn how to play? It seems fun.

Well with guitar there aren't many ways to go about learning, you can either teach yourself or get someone else to teach you. Oh, and if you've never picked picked up a guitar in your life I suggest reading tab (tablature) instead of actual music because its easier.

Yeah like I just said I just got an SG for my birthday and it's awesome. It's not Gibson, it's epiphone. But if you put tape over the logo you seriously wouldn't be able to tell.

Flying V's are awesome but you have to find the right way to hold it or it's really awkward.

How long have you been playing?

I fixed my guitar. I think my tuner may be messed up, because it's been really really off. I can just tell when I play the D (second and third frets) that it sounds extremely terrible. I might not be getting a new guitar for a while.

Yeah. I tried playing my uncle's Flying V when I was younger and it failed because it feels so awkward to play.

I've been playing for about six years.

I'm starting to practice playing ukulele behind my head. I have a green Mahalo and a Leolani painted with tiki symbols.

Ukuleles look cool but since I have a guitar I don't think I'll get one. Lol

But they're a lot more portable, and fun! I ALWAYS have my ukulele with me!

If I got a Ukulele I would probably use it for fun. Not to learn how to use it.
But its not that I don't have fun with my guitar
