Wii Sports Resort and Wii Motionplus!
Recently revealed(along with the new Animal Crossing: City Folk, go to the thread about it if you wish to discuss that), there will be a new Wii game, somewhat similar to Wii Sports, called Wii Sports Resort. It will have multiple sports which would be similar to those you would find at a classy hotel near the beach, as it has:
Disc Throwing(with a cute puppy. ) Fencing and Jet Skiing on the water! There are more, but those are the only revealed so far. The Wii Motionplus, which will come packaged with Wii Sports Resort, is a special attachment which connects to your Wii-remote(where you usually place the Nunchuck(don't worry, it still comes with an extra spot so you can still use the nunchuck with it), and it GREATLY improves the Wii-remote's motion sensitivity(when I saw videos of the disc throwing and fencing, the movements were literally perfect). With the release of the Motionplus, it seems that pretty much every Wii game released after the Motionplus will be compatible(and possible center around) it, which could possibly lead to awesome swordplay in a Legend of Zelda game, or an epic Lightsaber Dueling game. And, if I'm not mistaken, there is already a Legend of Zelda that will utilize the Motionplus under development, as well as a Mario game, so I'm really excited here. |

How "perfect" do you mean? If I were to spell "Disney" with my hand with the Wii MotionPlus, would it work?
I'm not expecting too much for this. And, I hope that Wii Motionplus thing for Zelda doesn't turn into "Link's Maplestory Training." |

By "perfect", I mean almost 1:1 sensing; and yes, I've seen it work. You could spell Disney with it, which I'm absolutely sure of. Not to mention for the fencing, that during the practice round, you can chop logs or gigantic pencils. And, to let you know how "perfect" the sensing is, you can actually sharpen the pencil if you are good with the remote. The demonstrator wasn't that good, but he got close. :P
And I doubt the LoZ game will turn into that. XD To Ramen Ninja, no. They aren't working on a new system, as there are still many Wii games in development, as well as new gadgets(such as the motionplus) under development. There is definitely no proof that there will be a new console, for any time in the near(or possibly even far)future. |

No, everything for the Wii like update and gadget. Games have nothing to do with it. Nintendo of Japan said it.

Not true at all! The gamecube lasted nearly 5 years, and I expect the same with the wii

Nuh uh, I still play the gamecube.
And the Wii is still new (Can you believe it? lol) I dont think they are gonna make another system (unless handheld or something) anytime soon. |

Ramen_Ninja, that is entirely untrue, as I keep track of Nintendo.. a little too much, to say the least, but mostly the consoles. If it were a handheld system, that's understandable, though the DS is still great. No chance at all of a new console-type system.. only way you can prove what you say is to give us specific details about it, when they announced the new system(if the was gonna be a new system, why didn't they announce it at E3, and why did they have so many things coming out for it, including Wii Music(start your own thread on that), Animal Crossing, Wii Sports Resort, a Legend of Zelda game and a Mario game using the motionplus, etc.?)
And to Sonic Boom, so do I. I still love both, and yes, I'm aware of the backwards compatibility on the Wii. :P |
