"Zac Efron's (Troy) singing voice was that of composer Andrew Seeley, who was also considered for the role. Seeley sang the entirety of "Get'cha Head in the Game" as well as composing it. He also sang the Reprise of "What I've Been Looking For". Efron only truly sings the first four sentences of "Start of Something New", the first sentence of "Breaking Free", and during the scene on the balcony. The reason for this is because Efron's natural voice is too low for that of a tenor and the producers preferred a tenor to match the role." Last edited by UpInTheAir; 01-22-2008 at 06:27 AM.. Their voices weren't blended sorry. That was a cover up when the public found out about Seely. They recently admitted that he sung all the songs and Zac only contributed with a few lines.

Well, drew seely is a professional! Zac is an amateur.. He's horrible, he stinks at acting and he can't dance. I don't get why people don't put drew seely on HSM clothing and stuff. If Zac truly sang I would be dead right about now..

Yes we all know the Zac is a fake. The only reson they put him in there was because of how he looked. ._. Looks can be deceving(sp?)
Besides you can tottaly tell of how he sang the songs. |

Uh, HELLO! That's why he sounds so awful. Especially in the balcony scene. I love the entire movie, except Zac Efron. He is a total fake. Just there for the girls. Imo, I don't think he's all that good-looking. ♥Wall |

I don't like the fact that Zac gets credit for ALL the singing. I don't recall them putting some type of major credits for Drew Seeley.

Yes, they did lip sing. Well you try to sing the song perfectly and land all those difficult dance moves perfectly. There is also technological stuff. Like the microphones might have gone out when they stomped and danced around or whatever. Time is money and sometimes that is the best thing to do to keep from ahving to do 80 million retakes. Well since Zac was seen in the first one I do believe they are going to do what they did before.
Have Seeley sing the songs and have Zac dance and act. Except this time they will say that Seeley did sing the songs. Seeley recently recieved full credits fromt he High School Musical Tour and since he wrote several of the songs in the movie he recieved credit for that as well. Once again I would like to say that Seeley sung all the songs while Zac sang a few lines. Seeley wrote amd/or co-wrote all the HSM songs. Here are the steps of who did what. 1. They had Seeley sing the songs and then they said Efron sang them. 2. The public found out about Seeley and they said they "blended" their voices. 3. They then admitted that Seeley sang all the songs by himself and Zac contributed with a few lines. (This was admitted because of the beginning of the tour and why Seeley was there and Efron wasn't.) Strange how the name Efron resembles the name Enron. Lol. -blueotter |
