Chapter #1: Arivals

Miles waited anxiously for his guest arrive. He had music turned almost to maximum height. A table was set in a corner with every kind of chips and soda. The TV was hooked up with the game cube… he was ready.
Then the doorbell rang…

Miles, went over and opened the door, and standing there was Nic!
"Hey, glad you can make it." Miles looked at his watch it said 6:01
"You seem fashionly late today"
"What ever" said Nic
Nic dropped Miles gift into his hands.
"Yay! Gifts!" Miles shouted. "What'd ya get me!!??"
Nic didn't answer Miles stupid question.
“Hey come on in… oh wait a moment.”

Claire was at the front door of Miles house. The door was open. " Anyone want to help?"
" HELLO?! Girl with tons of bags. ANYONE WANT TO HELP?!!" Claire's friends always did this to her
"Nope.." Nic said and smiled.
"Sweet Bags" shouted miles
"There not for you,” said Claire
"Aw."
"Wait come back, come help me carry these"
"Haha funny" Claire got her bags and went thorough the door. " Thanks for the help!!"
“Fine” Miles grabbed the bags. And together he and Claire entered the house.

DJ walked up to Mile's house with her backpack and presents.
*Ding Dong* She rang the doorbell and waited for the door to open.
Miles opened the door...
"Sweet more presents!!!!"
Miles grabbed the present and slammed the door in Dj's face
"Oops sorry, come in" said miles re-opening the door"
”Not Funny Miles. Now where’s the food I’m starving.”
“Right this way” said Miles closing the door.

Jenny slowly walked towards the door.
"OPEN UP!" She screamed.
Miles open's the door and Jenny entered
Jenny walked over to Miles and handed him 3 bags.
"Presents, presents, presents. For every year you’re younger than me!"
“Wow, thanks.”

"Ok, I think we have enough people to play" said Miles returning to the living room where the rest of his guest waited.
"Play what" asked Nic
"I don't know" said Miles
Jenny rolled her eyes.
"Great another one of 'Miles Games'."
DJ playfully punched Miles in the arm. She'd known Miles for like forever, but the other guests were a different story.
"Joy... another mystery game.." Nic mumbled.

Jenny grabbed her bags and brought them to the living room, as she had done for the last 5 years.
"Miles! Where is our mystery game?"
"If it's some board game I am NOT playing." Nic said.
"Hey don't be dissin Clue!!!"
"I thought you are to old for board games" said nic
"No, not until 8

34 tonight"
"You memorized the exact time and seconds?" Nic asked. "That's just... weird!"

Chapter #3:Pool Madness

Jenny giggled, left the room, and sat down by the pool
"What ever..."
Miles left the living room and entered his room.
A few minuets later he ran out, wearing nothing but a swimming suit and cannonball into the Pool
As he came back up he saw Jenny screaming, soaking wet
Jenny was furious.
"Miles! I’m going to get you!!"
Nic threw a towel over to Jenny. "Tip number one: Don't stand by the pool when someone is doing a cannonball." she laughed.
Jenny came out.
"Miles! Here I come!"

Massie walked up the steps to Miles house.
Her arms were full with bags, Miles Presents.

Massie walked and kicked open the door because It was almost open. And she had no hands Available.

"I'm Here!" Massie said dropping the bags, opening her arms for a hug, and batting her eyelashes.

Miles came out of the pool area with a red mark on his arm.
"Hey massie!" "Did you now that Jen's real good at hitting things with a towel"

Massie smiled and said,” Where do I Put Your Presents?" Massie asked Miles..

Jenny heard Massie and ran to the door.
"Massie!! Long time no see!!"

"Hey!" Massie said as she walked over to give her a hug.
"Ehmagawd, Your Soaked!" Massie said as she stepped back.

"You all went swimming without me!" Massie pouted.

"Good thing I have my Swim suit under!" Massie said as she ran to the bathroom and 2 minutes later returned in a bikini.

She smiled and spun in a circle.” How do I Look? It's BRAND New!" Massie said as she grinned.

Jenny smiled
"You look fantabulous!"
She showed Massie to the pool.

"Hi Massie." DJ said quietly as she slipped out side and sat in a lounge chair that wasn't close to the pool to read.
Nic stood there and yawned. "Are you coming in?" Jenny asked. "Nope." Nic simply said.

"Thanks.." Massie whispered as she slid off her sandals and took off her Swim wrap around her wasted and folded it and set it onto a chair far enough not to get wet.

Massie smiled and put up her hair so it won't get into her face.

"So. Who is going in first?" Massie asked as she smiled sweetly.

“Well, not me, last time I got in I was slapped… hard,” said Miles

Jenny giggled and nodded.
"He got me wet! I told him I would get him! Welcome to the Teen Life."
Jenny then pushed Miles and Massie and jumped in after them.

" Oh its on know" Miles said grabbing a water Noodle

Massie giggled as she swam away from Miles in the pool.

Jenny screamed and grabbed a noodle of her own.
"So this is how it is, huh?"
Massie said, "I'd be scared of her, but too bad her noodles broken!"

"Haha." DJ laughed as she looked up from her book.

Jenny looked up at DJ who was still in her clothes.
"You look like you need a hug!"

Massie ran and grabbed a kick board to shield her.
"How’s about we stop playing World War 2, and Play Colors! It an Ah-amazingly fun game..." Massie coed as she shield herself from the noodles just in case they threw it at her.

"I love that game!" Jenny said

Massie smiled and held her neck.

"Uh, Not now. I’m really thirsty."
Massie coughed.
"I need something to drink. And fast please." Massie tried to say loudly.

What ever..."
Miles walked past Dj, and *Accidentally* slipped in the pool, seen a huge wave to drench her!

"Miles!!!! You ruined my book!! You're going to get it!!" DJ yelled as she ran her book inside to dry and then ran back out to get him.

"Massie come on. Lets play!" said Jenny

" Hey im trying to relax in the pool!" Claire liked relaxing

Massie says” Hold on. Im REALLY thirsty!"

"Here have some water"
Miles splashed some water on Massi
"Are you un-thirsty yet?"

Claire laughed. Then she poured water on Miles. " Oh im Sorry. I thought you were thirsty." Claire laughed more.

Massie started chocking and coughing.
"I'm" Massie inhaled.
"Not..Kid..in.."Massie said she was pale. She was about to faint. She needed a drink fast..
Jenny laughed at Massie.
"Nice one Miles!"
Jenny ran inside and got a glass of water and handed it to Massie.

"Ok Miles. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." DJ said angrily.
Jenny looked at DJ
"She is known for trouble. I'd run if I were you!"
"Lets try my way," Said miles pulling a Nitro 2 water blaster form the bottom of the pool!

Massie took the water from Jenny and quickly drank it all.
Massie gasped for air.
"Thanks, Jenny. I think I'll stay out of the pool for a bit." Massie said as she walked slowly over to one of the chairs and lay down.

Jenny sat down with Massie and gave her a towel.
"Miles! Don’t you dare!"

Massie pulled the towel around her.
"Um..Is this going to be World War 3?" Massie said looking at Miles with a huge water gun and looking at DJ, with nothing but her book in her hands.
"It just might. Im going to go get dressed. You probably should Miss, I like to choke by the pool.” Jenny remarked

" AHHH!" Claire fell in the pool.

Jenny came back out to see a struggling figure in the water.
"You crazy kid! Get out if you can’t swim!"

Massie Chuckled at the wet Claire in the pool.
Massie then shook. She was FREEZING!

" Immmm... Sooo cccoold" Claire tried to find a towel. " Currrssseee yoooouu miiiilllesss."

Massie tossed a towel to Claire.
"I'll brb..i'm gonna..Geeeettttt Drrrrrreeeessseedd" Massie tried her best impresion of Claire and hurried into the house to get warm, and get dressed!

Jenny giggled at the fact that she was the only person not wet!

Claire ran to her bag, and got her Flannel Pj. She got warm when she got changed. " MILES YOU ARE SO DEAD!!"

Jenny came out in her pj's laughing at her slippers.

" Looking good Jen." Claire put on her slippers
"What ever" said miles
He jumped out and but on a long shirt and some comfortable shorts to sleep in

Jenny looked at Miles as if he was crazy.
"We didn’t even get to play a game!"

" Miles, look what you did to Jen and I. You are so dead!" Claire started to chase him.

Massie Walked out in her silk pants and her Cashmere sweater. It was her PJ's.

"Aww...Now I'm warm!" Massie said as she rubbed her arms.

"Don't forget about me. You own me 12 bucks now!" DJ said still in her soaked bathing suit.

"I'm board lets go in and play a game" said Miles
" What game" Jenny asked
" How about..."
"TRUTH OR DARE" shouted Jenny
The other girls giggle in agreement
"But.. But.." Stammered Miles
"Ill go first" said DJ "Miles Truth or dare"
" Wait, but ummm..."

Chapter #4: Truth or Dare

"Just hurry up and pick truth or dare!" Nic said with a grin.

"But why" moaned Miles, A tint of red in his cheeks

"Please hurry, I need to change. I'm freezing." DJ said.

"Fine change. I say we do not play this game and do something else,” said Miles

"Thank you." DJ said running to change. She came out a few minutes later in her pajamas

"No keep going! I want start this." Claire loved truth or dare

Massie smiled as she sat on floor in the circle. She pulled her knees to her chest.
"So. What’s it going to be?" Massie asked.

"I said No... Truth"
"Oh what was that Miles?" asked Claire
"Ok fine, I said truth"

"Truth? Wow. Not really up for a risk tonight?" Nic said with a smile.
"Just ask the question so we can get this over with"
"I said Truth, so hurry and ask the question so we can get this over with"
Jenny smirked.
"The question is do you like any of us girls?"

"Ummmm.... Ummm.... Um....."
Miles started to sweat real hard.
"Um this game is silly let’s do something else"

Massie smirked and batted her eyelashes and giggled into her palm.
"So.What's the answer? She gave you the question,” Massie said.
Massie then picked at her Cashmere sweater

Jenny smiled.
"ANSWER!"

"N.. N... Yes" Miles face looked like it turned into a cherry

Jenny smiled again.
"Answer the entire question!"

DJ looked up from blow-drying her book.

Massie stared at his face, which was bright red.
"Um..Don't you only have to say Truth? Not The Complete answer.." Massie asked.

"Nope. You have to say the entire answer." Nic said.

“It's, It's...... Nic”, stuttered Miles

Jenny's Eyes get VERY wide.
"Aww.. Little Miles.."

Massie sat frozen.
"You didn't have to say it.." Massie sat there speechless.
"I tried to save you too.." Massie whispered to herself.

DJ went back to her blow-drying her book, her little heart shattered.

Nic coughed as she swallowed a piece of popcorn. She was shocked.

Massie stood up and walked to her suitcase...Trying to do something other than focusing on the Truth that Miles just said.
"So.. uhm.. Who's next?" Nic asked.

DJ's book was finally dry so she went back into the game

"I think I’m going to go to my room for a second or two" said Miles getting up walking towards his room
DJ watched Miles as he walked to his room.

Nic sat there silently. She was waiting for someone else to speak.

Chapter #5: Where’s Miles?

No sound came from Miles room

Massie went back to the circle. Speechless.

"Um..Who's next? Miles you get to pick who to ask.." Massie said looking down at the picture of her dog at home.

"Miles sure is taking forever." DJ said.
Massie looked up.
"Where's Miles?" Massie asked.

"Is anyone going to check on him? If not I will..It is His Birthday Party!" Massie Said standing up and putting the picture into her purse. Massie started to head down the hall to Miles room.

"Uhm.. Maybe we should go check on him. You know, see if he's alright?" Nic said. They all agreed and walked to Miles door and knocked.

"I hope he's ok." DJ thought.

The door silently swung open with the bedroom window wide open.
"Hey what’s this?" Asked Nic
It was a note
"It says... "I went for a walk be back soon"

"We'll just have to wait until he comes back.." Nic said as she walked back downstairs and fell down onto a beanbag chair.

DJ slouched into the couch and grabbed her notepad off the floor.

Nic buried her face into her hands and thought silently.

Massie sat silently on the floor. She pulled her Knees up to chest and rocked back and fourth.

"I Hope he's alright.." Massie murmured

Nic's stomach began to hurt. She sighed and stood up. "I'm gonna go outside for a bit.." she said and walked out the door. She sat down on a bench on the patio and sighed.

DJ wandered to get something over the food table, leaving her notebook Wide Open for Anyone to Read.

Nic looked around to make sure that she was alone. She reached into her pocket and took out her diary. Nobody knew that she kept a diary. Nic opened it up and took the pen that was inside and began to write:

I can't believe this. I really can't. I think that I just want to go home. Besides, I'm not really close friends with anyone here..
Nic closed her diary and walked back inside. She sat on a separate couch from everyone else.

Mai hurried up with a backpack on her back, she hurried to Miles house, and knocked on the door.
She sat there and waited.
"...Its cold.."

DJ went back to her notebook and wrote:

Friends but nothing more. The story of my life.
DJ closed her notebook at looked around at everybody.

Mai looked around the house, she sat on the step of the front door.
"Sigh. I might as well leave, they must be sleep or something..."

"When do you think Miles will be back?" Nic asked.
Probably in about fifthteen minutes. He most likely went to the park to think." DJ answered.

"Hey.. What about the back?" Mai thought
Mai went to the back door. "Hmm..."
"Do I really need to be here? Maybe I can just drop the present off and go home. I don't even know anyone here..."

"To think about what?" Nic asked again.

Mai jumped up onto the fence in the backyard, and fell in. "OUCH!"
She quickly covered her mouth. "ooopppss..."
Mai got up, and hurried to the back door.
"Anybody there? If nobody's there, I’ll just leave the gift here!" She shouted

Mai knocked and knocked at the back door. "Wonder if I have something in my backpack."

"Did you hear that?" DJ asked.

Mai started getting cold. "Okay...I’m leaving..."
She sat the gift on the step and started to walk away.
"How did I get in here again...?" Mai said looking at the fence

"Yeah.. Wonder what it is." Nic said.
Mai jumped up onto the fence, and fell down, she made a huge noise.
All the girls ran out to see what was the matter.

Mai stared at all the girls that walked out.
"Uh....Hi....."

Miles, Walked to the park in back.
"Well this truly is the story of my life..." Miles said as he trudged down the road.
He entered the now empty house.
"Yep, I should have known. Thanks to my mopping around, all my friends are gone. Hey what’s this?"
Miles spied and open book in the corner
"This looks like a diary. I now I shouldn't but I can't resist."
He read the open book and it said...:

Well, Diary, its seems that my dreams of Miles, and me were all just my imagination. Miles, reviled he had true passions for a girl named Nic. I’m so jealous. Well, I just hope that some how we'll end up together...

As Miles, finished the page the alarm on his watch went off...
He was now officially 13

Chapter #6: Nice Girls Tell no Tales

Mai got up. "Uh don't mind me..ya never did.."
She looked down embarrassed..
"I'll go through the front.."
She walked in the house, and saw Miles. "Uh.. here." She handed him the gift.
"Happy birthday."

Miles jumped at the sound of Mai's voice. He slammed the diary shut and turned around.
"Um... Hi thanks for the present and glad you could make it.

"No problem..." She started walking backwards slowly, and bumped into a table. "Oh....Sorry..!" She ran out the front door.

Nic shrugged and walked back inside with everyone else. "There you are!" they all shouted as they walked inside.

DJ walked back inside. She went to the corner where she left her diary. 'It's gone!' She thought. She turned around and saw Miles was back. "Did you have a nice walk?" DJ asked still worried about her diary.

Mai sat on the step. Slipped out her diary, and wrote a quick thing.

"What a bad day!
I came in the middle of the night, had to sneak over a fence, almost breaking my leg. Tore my favorite pants. Embarrassed myself in front of my crush. Theeeennnn...Knocking over a table, and staining my new shirt!
What else can go wrong!?"

Mai finished writing, she put her diary back in her backpack.
"Sigh.." She sat up, looking to see if Miles opened his gift. (T-shirt and beanie hat with a skateboard)

DJ walked over to Nic and whispered in her ear, "Have you seen my notebook?" Nic shook her head no.

Mai stopped and saw a notebook on the floor. She picked it up and it said DJ.
She looked around the room and walked back in. Mai tapped DJ on the shoulder.
DJ turned around. "Yes..?"

"uhm.. Is this yours?" She showed DJ the notebook.

"It is, but I wonder who moved it." DJ said thanking Mai.

Nic walked over to DJ. "DJ, can I talk to you real quick?" she asked.
Jenny silently listened to there conversation.
"Sure"DJ said.
Well, I sort of got a little glance at your notebook. Nothing too much, don't worry. I was just passing by when I went to get.. uh.. something from my bag. So, maybe you should just.. tell Miles. You know?" Nic said to DJ.

DJ gulped.
"I think I should!"

Nic turned to see Jenny. "Were you listening in on our conversation?" Nic asked with a smile. "Maaaaybe..." Jenny said. "I know where the hose is.." Nic said with a laugh. "I've been here like.. five times or so. I don't know." she shrugged and smiled again.

Jenny slyly walked away to Miles room and fell asleep.

Nic walked over to her bag and grabbed her pj's. She crept over to the bathroom and got changed and walked back into the living room.

Claire woke up from her nap and saw Nic. " Nic, what happpened? I hear fighting.."

"Oh.. nothing really happened. It's fine." Nic said with a smile. She was being much kinder then usual.

Jenny realized this.
"Nicolette! Get over here right now!"

"Don't call me that.." Nic growled and walked over to Jenny. "What!?" Nic snapped, a bit annoyed that Jenny had called her Nicolette. She hated that..

Jenny blushed.
"Why are you being so nice? Huh huh?"
She laughed at Nic.

"I have my moments.. Which you just ruined.." Nic mumbled.

" Yeah your usually not nice. Just kidding. But really, I have a feeling something happened." Claire crossed her arms.

Jenny laughed at Nic.
"No! It's something else. I can tell."

Mai almost left, but she felt it was kind of rude leaving like that.
So she ran back and tore the note off the door.
"Uhm...Hi." Mai said walking in.

Miles, watch confused, to dazed by the fact that someone like him to realize what was going on.

Nic stared. "Yeah.. Whatever." she muttered.

Jenny was laughing,
"Nic!Tell me why you are being nice!!"

Mai walked over and picked up her backpack. "Forgot this, sorry.."
She headed back for the door.

"Naah.." Nic said and walked over to Mai. "C'mon, Mai. Don't leave. You should stay." Nic said.

Jenny stopped, looked over and went up to Mai.
"Hey! Where do you think you’re going Missy? Maybe you can get the secret out of," Jenny said this word really loud:"NICOLETTE!"

"Y'know...she hates that right...?"
Mai said quietly.

Jenny laughed.
"Yeah.But listen to my plan."
Jenny started to whisper,
"If we get her mad enough she'll explode and tell her secret!"

Nic glared at Jenny. "I'll hurt you.." Nic mumbled.
Miles, watch as the girls argued at different things. He still felt sick form reveling his secret. Also finding out that one of his friends like him
Jenny looked at Nic.
"PLEASE! Tell me why you are. WAIT No, WERE being nice.!"

Mai shrugged lightly.
She headed and sat on the chair in the far corner.
Jenny glared at Nic.
"Then I’m going to take a wild guess! You like Miles?"

Chapter #7: Humpty Dumpty Had A Great Fall

Miles, coughed really loud as he lost his breath in shock. He took a big breath and started sweating again.

"Err...." Nic began to say, feeling a bit awkward.

Mai watched Miles, he was staring at Nic. "Heh.." She finished writing in her book, and put it back.
"What is this..? A Drama show?? She thought in her mind.

Jenny smiled.
"So you do! Hah! I win"

"I never said that!" Nic said, crossing her arms.

"Shalalala my oh my! Looks like the boys to shy, aint gonna kiss the girl"
Jenny sang to herself and giggled at the same time.

Nic glared at Jenny. 'Once I get the chance.. I will HURT her..' Nic thought angrily.

Miles couldn't take it! First, he accidentally admitted he love Nic. He then found out that Dj liked him as more then a friends. And now it sounded like Nic like him too. He couldn't take the drama. He walked out on to the porch. The spot where he cannonballed was wet, but invisible in the dark. Miles never saw the puddle until he slipped. He hit his head on the patio and everything went black. He didn't even now as his body rolled into the pitch-black pool.

Mai dug around in her backpack, looking for her diary. "There it is.."
She pulled it out, but she hid it behind her backpack.
Mai turned to a page that said, "Miles party."
"Okay well, its still been a VERY bad daytoday, i guess
i should have stayed home. Well, i guess Nic and Miles might go together fine.
Heh, its kind of funny though.
Hey wait! I brought a video camera. Heh. I should have thought of it earier.

Mai pushed her Diary to the bottom of her backpack and searched for her camera.

Jenny looked at the clock.
"People! Its 11:00 in the morning!"
"Where’s Miles?"Jenny said to everyone.

"I’m just gonna go.."
Mai got up.
"Nobody's gonna care anyway.."
She headed for the back door.

Jenny saw Mai.
"Hey! Wait"
She was too late but she followed anyways.

Nic sat on the couch by herself, thinking.

Maddie was making her way to Miles' party.
"I should probably tell him why I'm so late. Although, he could be having fun without me and probably didn't notice I wasn't there yet. I'm not the only friend that he invited," Maddie said to herself.
She looked down at the present she had in her hands and stopped at the front door when she heard a sound coming from the pool. She looked to see it was Miles, so she dropped the present and went to see if he was ok.
"Miles! Are you ok?" questioned Maddie with concern. She didn't hear anything and jumped into the pool.

Mai stopped and noticed Jenny was following her. "Uhm..can I help you..?"
Mai asked Jenny quietly. She turned around and saw a girl by the pool and ran to her.
"Miles?"
Mai jumped in the pool after Miles.

Nic walked outside to see Maddie, ******** out. Nic ran over to her. "Shouldn't we try to get him out!?" she asked urgently.

Jenny was panicking.
"OMG! OMG! WHAT IF HE IS DEAD?!"
Jenny pushed Nic in and screamed.
"GET HIM OUT!!"

Once Madison finally got Miles out, she couldn't hear him breathing. She looked around to see if anyone could do CPR and save Miles, but she saw two girls standing on the side.
"Do either of you know CPR?" Madison asked quickly.

Jenny was seriously scared.
She fainted in shock.

"Oh gosh if you neither of you will do it I'll have to do it."
Madison began doing CPR and soon heard Miles breathing again.

“Oh my gosh” said Mai getting out of the pool “Quick to CPR”

"It's ok I already did CPR and he's starting to breathe, but we need to give him some space so he can catch his breath." Madison said shivering in the cold night air.

Nic poked Jenny. "Wake up.. He’s alive."

Mai squeezed half of the water out of her shirt and pants.
and sighed. "What else can go wrong..?"

Jenny's head was spinning.
She rolled over almost falling into the pool.

Madison went over to help Jenny.
"Can someone get me a warm towel?" Madison said.

Jenny got up but fell back down.
"Hey Madi!"
Jenny said pointing to one of three Madison's she saw.

"Well ok I'll go get it myself and hope Jenny's alright when I get back" Madison thought to herself.
She ran inside and quickly came back out with a warm towel and put in on Jenny's forehead.
"Hi Jenny!" Madison giggled. "I see you're somewhat back to normal."

Jenny was very lightheaded.
She touched the hot towel and said,
"Ssssss..You need some ice for that burn??"

Miles, head was swimming, his hair was sticky and he thought he smelled something nasty. He was drenched to the bone, and he only here pieces of what was being said around him. His body couldn't take the pressure... He feel asleep.
