Huge VMK Lag Lately

For a while now the new loading system has been giving me serious problems, it took me longer to get the room to load for the ride-a-thon then it did to go through the line, now whenever I load my clothes (17 pages) it takes me almost 15 minutes if not more.Even regular public rooms Im having issues with, this loading is seriously enough to take away 90% of the time Im having on vmk. Ive taken out alot of my edits and signatures and deleted them, Ive tried to clear the computer of stupid programs that came with it or ones I dont use anymore. Im still getting this horrible lag. It really doesnt make any sense, Ive got a cable connection that usually is pretty fast. Does anyone have a clue what I can do?

Mostly just today with me. Took forever for my clothes to load and the sound would stop then start then stop..

It always takes quite a while for my clothes to load the first time. After that it's not so bad, but I have noticed more lag in general during the game lately. I suppose it has to do with all the new items, rideathons, and such. I'm not sure exactly which software VMK runs on (Java, Quicktime, etc.) but maybe if you could find out and check to make sure that you have the latest update on that it would help.

Today I went on our old computer with atleast 2 times the junk installed on it and it was lightining fast, I think that when more then one computer is on its really slowing me down.

It could be that the older computer might have more RAM or Virtual Memory than your new one. Two vital things to check

When I use my older computer vmk works better than with the new one.

Could also be the processor. Forgot to mention that in the earlier post.

If they were theyd have to be different significantly, which Im pretty sure they arent.
Edit: There's 203 GB left in the C drive Ive only used about 20GB so far, I dont get why its so slow.

How much RAM do you have? What version of Windows do you have? What processor do you have?

Not really sure about ram but an hour ago we did something to speed up the computer idk if it will help with the lag in vmk.

I think the new lag is due to the character change, like when you log-in to VMK and that blue tornado thing causes lag. Other such changes could have caused lag lately.
