i bet it is just a hotel for DVC members, like in hawaii. No theme park or anything. that is just my guest, tho.

I hope this turns out good. Don't you thing they'd do something somewhere else? I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but if all these park are on the west coast, how much sense does that make?

Don't put any faith in this...Like NaviMap said, DLR's right around the corner, and there are already rumors of a Disneyland in Shanghai. Especially with the market going the way it's going now, I would doubt it.

There is an extinct Disney monorail in Las Vegas, if that's what you mean...

They're building a resort in Hawaii, not a theme park.

I'm taking my second trip out there next summer so if anything's gonna happen I'll be there with the scoop. I got family in Idaho so I travel from Yellowstone to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. My point is that if anything major construction would be going on I can and most likely will upload pictures from the site to here. If this site lasts that long.

Still this doesn't seem very strategical to me. It sounds like a pretty bad idea profit wise and we all know how much of bloodsuckers Disney CEOs are. Best place in my opinion, Southern Canada near Quebec or Sacatchawan. The area is very far away from the other disney parks and I'm not just saying this because its farely close to my house.

Maybe the resort has a small roller coaster?

  2. Summer Temperatures during the peak travel season are near unbearable to have a theme park with outdoor attractions and walkways. Some guests at Disneyland may find summer temperatures in Anaheim to be uncomfortable and those temperatures are usually 10-20 degrees lower than Las Vegas.
  3. Las Vegas tourism is targeted to grown-ups and is not aimed toward a family-friendly environment. Put it simply...Theme Parks are and have been a bust in Las Vegas. Las Vegas attempted that back in the 90s with a couple theme parks and family oriented entertainment but it was a failure compared the more profitable casinos. MGM Grand's theme park has been replaced with condos, the water park is long gone, and since when have we've heard Circus Circus being the talk of the town in recent years.

Las Veg. isn't a very family-orented place. I mean... the billboards alone. The city itself is fine, but the casino road isn't. I don't think they'd do that. Maybe it'll be like DisneyQuest?

They once built a DisneyQuest in Chicago, but it didn't last very long at all for the sole reason: it just wasn't popular. I remember seeing a shareholder report in which Imagineering released concept sketches for new ideas, and a DisneyQuest-esqe idea popped up for (I believe) Los Angeles.

I don't know of the fate of the DisneyQuest in WDW, but there were rumors of it becoming an ESPN Club, but they have been proven false by various cast members.

This is true. The casinos and clubs are not a good example to kids and teens of all ages. Having a theme park in Las Vegas is somewhat a good yet negative idea. I do agree though that Las Vegas is a 10 hour drive from Anaheim and attracts all the the Western US. As it should, they should only put a theme park on either side of the country. There are plenty of attractions, sites, and fun things in Las Vegas like the MGM, Circus Circus, and the M&M and Coke store which is much enjoyable for families and kids and teens of all ages. However, there is no need to have another Disneyland Resort Park. And where exactly did u hear this?
