"Sticky" & "Bump"? What are these? '.'

I need help--I don't understand:

1. How you get your thread to be "Stickied"
2. What on Earth "Bump" is

If someone could help, that'd be great!

Stickied is like, it's always on the top of the MAIN forum, and it never gets deleted, and bumping is making it show up on the new posts ^_^

Sticky - A good thread and Mods feel its imported and they sticky it and when you look at the top of the fourm its alway their and it can't get deleted by lack of posting.

Bump - Bump = Bumping up my thread. Thread makers BUMP their thread to get it on the top of the NEW POST list. You can do a Bump Every 24 hours.
