I’ll Wait Forever
~CHAPTER ONE~
“Well... It’s important.” Mia said to her friends, Mimi and Zoey. They stared at her as Mia looked at the ground. “I’m moving.” Mia stated, looking up at her friends and looking them in the way. Zoey and Mimi both screamed “WHAT?!?!” Mia still had a serious look on her face. “My father has been waiting for us to move to Australia, he has been waiting for this promotion.” Mia stated, a tear streaming down her face. She moved about every three years, her father Robbie is a marine biologist who is always traveling. Her mother Amy died because of a drunk driver hitting her car on the highway, sending her off the edge. Fifteen people died in the crash from drowning. “I still have 5 months left here, guys. Let’s… try to make it the best?” Mia asked, Mimi and Zoey nodded sadly.
“What about Brian? Your boyfriend?” Mimi asked out of nowhere.
“Breaking up with him.” Mia said sadly. “Can I have him?” Zoey joked, giving a half of a smile and looking up from the ground. They all laughed slightly.
“I smell popcorn…” Mimi said, smiling. Every week they had a movie campout in either one of the three girl’s living room. “Come on, let’s go. It’s getting cold.” Mia said, hugging her arms and taking one last breath of the crisp midnight air. They all walked off the sandy beach, watching the waves splash the sand as if rain was falling. Mimi held in her breath and looked around the abandoned with her sparkling blue eyes that matched the ocean perfectly. She let her dark brown hair fall to her shoulders as she took out the clip and walked up the steps of the Ricci family beach house.
