The vote obviously would have been a yes, so they wouldn't even need to do that.

Maybe it wasn't up to them to close it, maybe they have future plans, maybe they just didn't want to run it anymore. Their choice, not ours.

I certainly knew it was closing although I didn't expect it to close as soon as it did.

Why, yes, everyone knew it would close at some point, no game would stay open forever. But no one, NO ONE, would have expected to ever be this soon. I remember a thread with a poll asking how long would VMK last for, well I don't remember the results though.

But at some point we would have known.

I still kinda don't believe it. That feeling has weakened a lot but it is still there, just a little bit.
