  2. Summer Temperatures during the peak travel season are near unbearable to have a theme park with outdoor attractions and walkways. Some guests at Disneyland may find summer temperatures in Anaheim to be uncomfortable and those temperatures are usually 10-20 degrees lower than Las Vegas.
  3. Las Vegas tourism is targeted to grown-ups and is not aimed toward a family-friendly environment. Put it simply...Theme Parks are and have been a bust in Las Vegas. Las Vegas attempted that back in the 90s with a couple theme parks and family oriented entertainment but it was a failure compared the more profitable casinos. MGM Grand's theme park has been replaced with condos, the water park is long gone, and since when have we've heard Circus Circus being the talk of the town in recent years.
this couldn't be explained better.

I just had an revelation. Could it be that since Disneyland Park is short on land to build more parks to be able to compare with Walt Disney World they decided to create a branch park of DLR that isn't exactly extravegent. Something like Disney Seas and only Disney Seas. Small to disney standards yet enough to allow people that don;t live near a Disney park to have a taste of the expierience. A land yet not a world.

I think a Disney Park in Las Vegas would be a waste also.

What should be made is a Disney Park in New york (or somewhere else in the northeast) for the ppl that live in the northeast since they have to fly halfway across the country to go to either U.S. Disney park. A Disney Park in Canada would also be a good idea.

^ I agree with that. I think Canada or something right below it like New York as you said would be a good idea.

They are talking about having individual resorts scattered across the country. This incentive reportedly began with the Hawaii resort.

Don't forget the ill-fated "Disney's America" park in Virginia.

Notice how those are not Scattered. Those are in the western area.

We need a park for people who live in the middle part of the world.

Disneyland Michigan anyone?

I do think that is a good idea for a park in the central U.S. but a Disney in Michigan would be kind of silly, Disney wants a place that isn't to hot or to cold, Michigan is too cold. Kansas would be silly bc of all of the Tornados, Texas might be a good one, just in the northern part of it where it isn't really hot. plus ppl in Mexico could go there!
