Problems with Shockwave and Flash Player?
I just got a brand new lap top and for some reason it won't run VMK. I have installed Flash Player and Shockwave like it told me to but for some reason it is still not working. Whenever I try to go into pirates lobby on internet explorer it crashes. And whenever i go anywhere on FireFox it shows people without legs and eventually crashes. I think i have heard of a problem like this before but didnt find it in a search or the forums.
Any help is appreciated Whipstersh |

When I bought a new computer VMK ran very slow. Then I realised that the virtual memory settings were set to default and not maximum, trying changing those first.

How would you go about changing the memory setting without adding more memory? Also do you think that using Wi-Fi instead of an internet cable would affect VMK's ability to run?

Ok, this is what I do but there is probably a quicker route. I take it you have Windows XP:
Click Start > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System. Click on Advanced tab > Performance settings > Click on Advanced tab > Virtual Memory and change it there. Remember if you have a split hard drive then change the settings on both for optimum memory. Hope this isn't too confusing. |
