Top 10 Rarest Pins? (non-magic)
I know there's been tons of threads made about the rarity of pins. Since there have been a lot of pins rereleased lately (Jolly Roger, for example) I'd like to hear which non-magic pins people think are currently the top ten in terms of rarity.
I figure the Mighty Eye is number one, but after that I don't know anymore! |

Uhm:
1. ATIS Mighty Eye Pin 2. Hong Kong Disneyland Pin (and the rest of its pins in the set) 3. Stitch Pin 4. Mansion Pin Set 5. The rest of the ATIS set 6. Star of Mickey Pin 7. Holiday 05 Pin 8. Hotel 1 and 2 set 9. Jungle Cruise Pin Set 10. Tomorrowland 8/9 Pin If you want the room awards too, it'd be: 1. ATIS Mighty Eye Pin 2. Hong Kong Disneyland Pin 3. VIP Pin 4. Best Quest Room 5/6. Best Game Room/Best Guest Room ..and so on and so forth. The reason why the best quest is more rare on the list is because as you probably now, quests were added later into the game than the best guest and best game were.

Here are a few that can be considered --
Holiday 05 Hong Kong Disneyland Entire Haunted Mansion Pin Set DLR Grand Californian Star of Mickey Stitch Pin It would be nice to get an official list of pins from rarest to least. Only down side is that the wants of some items change, so it would be difficult to uphold. |

Of course there's such a thing as rare pins. You are mixing up value and rarity. I know it's not an exact science, but we can all take a guess at which pins we think are the rarest based on when they came out, how long they were released for, how many were released, etc.

Actually, there are plenty of ATIS Eye Pins out there. I am not getting rarity and value mixed up. I meant what I meant.

No such thing as a rare pin? I think you're mistaken. I'll take an obvious example -- Stitch Pin vs. Yeti Pin. With what you're saying, when people want the Yeti Pin it will become more rare than the Stitch Pin. There are plenty of people who want the NPC Pins, but it is not and will not be as rare as a Stitch Pin.

Okay, but it's not accurate to say that there's no such thing as rare pins, because of course there is. I agree with you that there will probably never be an exact and accurate LIST that we all agree upon, but I do not believe that there is an exact same amount of every single pin circulating around VMK. If there was, then I would agree with you, there would be no rare pins. But I have to believe, for example, that a lot more people have the Club 33 pin than have the Master Gracey pin, which would make the Master Gracey pin rarer than the Club 33 pin.

Before I compile a list of the rarest pins, answer the following:
Are we counting if the pin is tradeable? Are we counting if the pin is available yet?

Tradeabilty (is that a word?) doesn't matter but I think we shouldn't count any that haven't been officially released yet.

I agree with most of that schmoofy, but what about the rest of the HKDL pins? And the mansion pins.

I was thinking about the rest of the HKDL pins and then realized that as rare as they may be, there are still pins that are rarer. The rest of the mansion pins have been seen again and again at trading events, but I have yet to see a grave digger at one.

How many?
Since the start date and the end date of the Push Pin giveaway are noted somewhere, can anyone tell me how many of them are out there? It's not able to be traded but I wonder how many are out there as compared to other pins?

According to the Wiki the Push pin was released on October 9th, 2006. There's usually 3 winners a week (but sometimes 6) so I'm guessing there's somewhere between 80 - 100 Push pins out there so far. I'm not sure when the end date is going to be.
