yea i know it will all be deleted in 30 days also but would u rather vmk release everything and have a great time up until it closes or would u rather let it slowly die and not have all the cool new stuff be released?

If they want to release it - put it all out so we can use what we want.
Then make quests for credits. How many have made an Alice ride just to have other nice items released. How about release all the Royal items including that room? Since it says there is so little time to have it, let us have it. Just do not get fooled by the bait and switch tactics of Disney.

the portal is the darkness vmk will spin in to at 10pm may 21st and they think it will lead us to toon town or POTC online

I am a little sick of having Toontown shoved down my throat. Do they really think that is a viable alternative to MK?
Oh I forgot - they are totally clueless as to what players want.

Speaking of tactless, how about that lovely sign in the Esplanade~

I am sorry but i don't think it is sweet or nice. I think its a mean cruel, rub your face in it thing to do.

The ending of VMK may or may not have been know way earlier. Everyone (even staff) acts like it was a total surprise, and it may have been. But Macrh was POTC month and April is Toon Town month. Were they trying to advertise to death a paid game, or were they trying to find a new home for VMK members after VMK closes?

Grr... ...where is this portal?!?

Well I don't know what it is but, maybe this "portal" is just a little room you can go to. They probably could do something like that but I don't think they will release a huge thing (my opinion). But VMK would give us a bit more information about this before they would do something. The only thing that they told us was :
1. Esmerelda, and
2. The new newsletter today.
But I have no clue exactly what they mean.

One question, how did the castle suit come in with this?

Sounds to me like they are referring not to a portal in VMK, but to a pretend link between the games. The real Toontown is behind the real Fantasyland, so why not pretend that the virtual ones are in the same place?

I believe there will be a toon-based guest room as an event, rather than a link between the games. The games are different styles, and I doubt they would work with one another.
