I must say, the new hat looks awesome. I really don't care if it's tradeable in the future or not, it's just for the joy of an early X-Mas gift, not for greedy players in trade.

Why do you equate the desire to have something trade-able with greed? I think the desire to have something trade-able is part of having a trade-based virtual economy, but I certainly don't equate it with greed. If there are limits on the number of trade-able items released, then there becomes less and less to trade with.

Care to elaborate on your "greedy" comment?

Why would they get rid of the trading market? That's one of the main reasons I play! I hope they make those items tradeable in the near future..

When I wrote this response I was thinking of some of the Dream items given by the Hosts during the Dreams Event. The Dreams Logo and Fairy pins as well as the Dream Ears were not tradable all that month but became tradeable soon after that month ended.

I'm pretty sure their goal is to prevent people from getting ten or more pins from mules and becoming rich off them.

I'd say that's possibly part of the answer.

However, if they didn't want people to get "rich," then why didn't they release Inferno a long time ago? I don't think people really get "rich," though from Queue-button quests. I think they might benefit from trades, but I wouldn't call anything they get rich. The Cat and Dog Quest Pins are a little more in demand now than they were when they came out, and people still aren't going to get very wealthy off of them. My 2 cents, though...

Thanks for discussing this, though - that's all I'm really wanting.

ps. What about the Madame Leota Pin from the Seance series? That was Queue-button quest, and it's tradable.
