Where did you hear this? Staff, QA_, yavn? It's possible that people have green flips/baggy pants or green top, but not everything. And I belive that some people are trying to act like staff (I've even seen it). But don't you think that they will stick to their costumes because if they do sell it, there will be much more people acting like staff.

i'd be hard for staff to change color. First of all, they have to pick one, second, they will maybe take away certain colored clothes, and third, it'll be hard to make another set of colored mickey ears. Now i doubt it.
