I had some trouble getting the system to accept my name. I tried Qui-gon, Qui-gon123, and (the random) Qui-gon038. All said my name was already taken. But, I'm on there as "Shogg". And when I searched "Qui-gon" on the members list, nothing popped up. I had the same thing happen when I joined here. I might just PM a mod over there and ask them to change it. I feel bad though, the site is so new and all.
