Any good programs?
 

I just recently started making avatars and signatures? Any good programs to do those?

I use Paint.NET, and it works great. It is absolutely free! It can be downloaded here.

In the past I tried downloading other programs and I would just get a limited feature version that would last only 30 days. With Paint.Net, you get ALL of the features and it's completely free for as long as you use it.

If you're not used to layers, it can get frustrating. The Help toolbar really helps you out.

I would say GIMP(You need to get used to it xD) or Photofiltre.
Photofiltre is great for backgrounds and GIMP is good for animations and brushes:)

GIMP would be the best. You can do almost everything. animation... pictures... blending... all that!

What I am worried about is does it set anything off in your computer like viruses or anything like that? My dad would get so mad because he is a computer freak!

If you're worried about viruses, I would suggest downloading your program via Download.com. They state:
