VMK Message Reminder as Text Message Ringtone

Put a little touch of VMK into your life...

To make this your text message tone, you must send it to your phone. Open up your email and send a message to your phone number. If you have Verizon, it should go like this:

[email protected]

First is your area code, and then the rest of your phone number. When you get the message on your phone, save it as a ringtone. (You could save it as a sound, too, but to be a tone you must save it as a ringtone. Now go to your sound settings on your phone, and set that ringtone as your reminder for whatever message (Voicemail, Text/Pix/Video message, etc.)

Enjoy!

wow! it works great! but I had some trouble getting it on my RAZR v3 (at&t).
here's a tutorial on getting it onto your phone via bluetooth using WIDCOMM.
  1. on your phone, go to the options menu and hit connections. open the bluetooth menu.
  2. click "add audio device". when your computer's name comes up, click it. your computer and phone will ask for a password. it's usually 0000 on both ends.
  3. on the computer, right-click the bluetooth logo and click Bluetooth setup wizard.
  4. click the "I want to find a specific Bluetooth device and configure how this computer will use its services" radio button. click next.
  5. on the computer, click on the picture of your phone.
  6. if your phone asks if you want to pair with the computer, click yes, or permit.
  7. on the computer, check OBEX File transfer. Click finish.
  8. find the file you want to send.
  9. right click the file, and click copy.
  10. go to My bluetooth places and click the new OBEX file transfer button. your phone will give you a message. choose grant.
  11. open the folder with the type of file you want, and PASTE the file there. your phone will ask the same thing. again, choose grant.
  12. Viola! it's on your phone!
It's not as hard as it looks.

This way is free and a lot quicker.

That is sooo cute! It made me smile!

To transfer it to your cellphone, you need a USB cord and a phone tools software. I transferred some wallpapers I made onto my razr by the phone tools.

my phone is a stupid sidekick slide. it doesn't allow me to save any type of downloaded file as a ringtone... so i have about 60 songs on it but none of them can be my ringtone/text msg tone.

.... I WANT THIS D:
