VMK Communicator

Does anyone still have it? or Does anyone have the download page for it.

I walked into the Photo place on VMK Revisited and saw that ad and I was like, I REMEMBER THAT!

That is a great question, I downloaded that a while back.(Although, I am currently using a different computer than the one I downloaded it on.) I wonder if you can still use it.

My wife still has it on her computer and it does work, you just get the last entry entered for the last week in May before VMK closed.

I wasn't playing VMK long enough to know what VMK Communicator
and VMK Pal were.
What exactly do they do? xD

EtnaGreen 06-09-2009 05:36 PM

Vmk Pal had several handy features that made the vmk experience easier. When you wanted to log into vmk you would open up vmk pal, click the picture of Hayley and Jake, and choose which one of your avatars you wanted to log in as(in case you had mules or other family members shared vmk pal). It would also take screenshots of vmkf, keep your screenshots in an "album" so you could view them later, and a clock/calendar to keep track of hosts events and when vmk was going to open/close. Vmk pal also had "help talk". Help talk allowed you to assign a spoken phrase to a keystroke. It also had a program that helped you keep track of your codes, and a magnifier to look at certain things on vmk closer up.

Vmk communicator was a VMK newsletter, calender, updates, and other downloads right on your desktop. Basically it was like visiting the VMK Homepage, but in a more compact way on your desktop. It also had vmk desktop backgrounds and screensavers.

I deleted the VMK Communicator a while back. I imagine it was after the closure of VMK. Or before, since it was taking up the scarce space I had. I still have ****** though. I can't bear to delete that.

It was so dang useless I uninstalled it the next hour.

DocCalvin 06-12-2009 07:53 PM

I never even heard of it until it was too late!

I did too. Couldn't see the point, since I visited the homepage pretty much every day anyway.

Took the quote/words out of my mouth.
