One of the changes with this last update was to the picture-taking process.

They removed the ability to cancel a picture after shooting it. You only get a "Save" button.

You can get the camera window to close, however. One way is to change locations. However, when you do that your camera will no longer be available, even to save that last shot.

Exiting and re-entering the game fixes the problem, and although you never actually "Saved" the picture, the film has been used.

I can see them doing this as a way to make it too expensive to use the camera as a scanner to search for objects, like the Hidden Mickeys. The change needs a bit of polish, however.

If they want to prevent the camera being used as a scanner, why not make it like a real film camera: charge for the film, THEN charge for the processing? That would make it useless as a scanner, since you would need to go to the photo lab to get the film developed before you see what you shot.
By breaking the cost of taking pictures up into film cost & processing cost, it would make the cost of making mistakes when taking pictures less painful.

A Digital camera that you could see your results instantly could be a later upgrade.
