I don't know if anyone has found this before, but I was searching on Google for VMK things still on the disney.com website, and I found this:
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/vmklist.txt (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/vmklist.txt)
UPDATE: It looks like Disney redirected the list to the Disney Parks website. Luckily Google has a cached version (saved version) of the list here: click here (http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:B20z64gQfacJ:disneyparks.disney.go. com/vmklist.txt)
It's a list of about 4,124 VMK files that still remain on the Disney website!
To view each file (most are images/flash/sounds), type in: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/ (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/) before each line.
Example: It says avmk_v0300/en_US/media/about/vmk_cards/cards_bg.jpg so you would make it http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avm...s/cards_bg.jpg (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/about/vmk_cards/cards_bg.jpg) . Hopefully that's not too confusing the way I said that
It kind of seems odd that Disney moved all these files from avmk.disney.go.com to disneyparks.disney.go.com ? If you guys find some cool files on the list, be sure to post them on this thread
Interesting files I've seen:
-- Music Game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/WhatIsVMK/GamePreview/screenshots/StreetPartyMusic.jpg) (glitch) no arms
-- Homepage with content (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/index.swf) it says someone is logged
-- Homepage without content (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/_Index.swf)
-- Narnia game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/special/narnia/adventure.swf)
-- Blast in Space game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/arcade/tomorrowland/games/blast_in_space.swf) (arcade)
-- Airlock Escape game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/arcade/tomorrowland/games/airlock_escape.swf) (arcade)
-- Hyperspace Mountain game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/arcade/tomorrowland/games/hyperspace_mountain.swf) (arcade)
-- waterpark game (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/arcade/waterparks/rotator_gator_ms19.swf)
-- VMK Promo (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/avmk_v0300/en_US/media/home/intro/vmk_main.swf) The pictures and sounds in this look and sound like beta, they are a little different then the final versions of the rooms. Also notice that the Inner-Space shop is named Galaxy Imports, which must have been an idea for it before Inner-Space or Star Trader
Other things I've noticed:
-- The vmk.com and virtualmagickingdom.com domains are set to expire in 2010, yet the domain disneyvmk.com and vmkdisney.com are both owned by Disney, and aren't set to expire until 2011, and the weird thing is, they don't even redirect to the Disney Games website and they weren't ever announced as links to the game while it was open. (I know I've mentioned this before)
-- I wonder why Disney created the list of VMK files still remaining (the one I posted above), knowing Disney, you'd think they would just delete them all?
-- If you go to http://admin.virtualmagickingdom.com (http://admin.virtualmagickingdom.com) it loads and says "the connection was reset". If you go to http://game.virtualmagickingdom.com (http://game.virtualmagickingdom.com) it loads for a long time and says "connection has timed out". At http://download.virtualmagickingdom.com (http://download.virtualmagickingdom.com) the page is blank.
This was posted on another site. What do you think? :Question2:
