Does anybody know what these pins actually do?

I bought them to for the wiki, but didn't use them. It's funny because with the other checkers magics VMK has let us know what the magic actually is either through and FAQ, the Yeti, or Ned. However these just appeared without any explaination.

Can anybody satisfy my curiousity (and help me update the wiki...yes I admit I have wiki motives :) )

The cut in two magic allows you to place another piece, of your color, on a diagonal square still touching the piece you activate this magic on. It's basically getting another piece to block an incoming attack.

The optical illusion magic "sticks" your piece to the board so if your opponent jumps it, it still stays around. Can be very useful when nearing the opposite edge of the board.
