Yes they are making a second one and are trying to negotiate with VMK to put Kingdom Keeper items in.

Also, Ridley Pearson's new book will be: Peter and the Secret of Rundoon.

From Ridley's Blog (a while ago): The second book will be subtitled: The Rise of Chernabog.
This IS my favorite book (Tied with the Peter and the Starcatchers series)
If you are wondering about how they do some stuff in vmk you can't do, the book was created before vmk was released and they didn't have a fully correct idea about exactly how vmk was going to be.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who likes Disney. I COULD NOT put it down. I have Read it three times and enjoy it more and more every single time. When you are finished with KK, I would HIGHLY suggest reading into the Peter and the Starcatchers Series. Hope you enjoy the book :)

From Ridley's blog:

KINGDOM KEEPERS 2 - For the curious
Here's the catalog copy for Kingdom Keepers 2 (note, the title is still being considered):

Kingdom Keepers: The Second Server
Disney At Dawn

It's supposed to be a happy day at the Magic Kingdom – the return of the teenage, holographic hosts. But things go very wrong when a sudden lightning storm disrupts the celebration, and Amanda's mysterious sister, Jez, disappears. The only clue is the sighting of a wild monkey in the Magic Kingdom during the storm.

The mystery deepens as Finn is contacted by Wayne, an old man he hasn't heard from in months. Wayne tells Finn that there's trouble at the Animal Kingdom: the evil Overtakers have gained control of one of the computer servers that will be used to operate Daylight Holographic Imaging there. That means that if any of the holographic hosts fall asleep, they will go into comas – permanently.

With time running out, Finn, Philby, and Maybeck, along with Willa and Charlene, and Amanda, begin a desperate search, following a string of cryptic clues found inside the diary of the missing Jez. They must find and destroy the second server before they fall asleep; their survival -- and the future of the parks – depend on their success.

Filled with action and brimming with the same meticulous detail as Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark, this second book in the series — Disney At Dawn --is the result of hands-on research behind the scenes at the Animal Kingdom. Young and older readers alike will get a glimpse into a second Disney kingdom. The wild rides have only just begun; and the clock is ticking. How long can the teens keep themselves awake in their quest to find their friend — and what happens if they fail?

DEFINITELY. Dude, I totally agree with you! I read this book about two years ago I think. I just recently re-read it. It's really good (if you like Disney. If you can't stand Disney, don't bother. But if you can't stand Disney, why would you be on this site?) I've also read the Peter and the Starcatchers series. That's really good also. Read them all!

1). Recently the release date is now in April 2010.

2). Wikipedia shows this as the plot for KK3 - Disney in Shadow:

When Disney Imagineers installed hologram guides for the Magic Kingdom, using teenage models they had no idea the technology might backfire. But backfire it did: some nights when the kids go to sleep, they wake up in one of the Disney parks as a hologram.

With the adventures set forth in the first books now behind them, Kingdom Keepers 3: Disney In Shadow follows the five teens, Finn, Philby, Willa, Charlene, and Maybeck as they search to find Wayne, their mentor and head Imagineer who has mysteriously gone missing. Concerned Wayne has been abducted by the Overtakers-Disney villains, who along with other Disney characters, take over the parks when the turnstiles stop spinning, and want desperately to steer the parks to a far darker place-the five kids pick up a major clue from a close friend, Jez, whose dreams (nightmares, really) often accurately predict the future.

The very few clues from Jez's dream lead the kids into Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot--through imaginary worlds that become real, by imaginary kids who are real. Each clue seems tied to the last, and with the stakes growing ever higher, what starts out as a puzzle ends up as a fight for their lives. Through a transparent paper box, a quest for a sword, rides on Soarin' and Maelstrom, life-and-death encounters with giant snakes, and a devious Maleficent, the Kingdom Keepers not only begin to decipher deeper meanings to the clues, but discover new truths about themselves and their ever-growing friendships.

Books 3, 4 and 5 have been confirmed.

Quoted from Wikipedia:
Fourth and fifth installments are currently being planned. Ridley has announced that he wants to involve the readers in the fifth book, which will possibly be the last, using what he called the "Big Plan" Ridley also said on an interview that he wanted to set the 4th book on the Disney Cruise line, perhaps something with the ship and Castaway Cay but it is not confirmed yet.

Personally, I can not wait for the release of the next book, I'm sure all of you will agree. =D

Anyway, KKIII was........GREAT!! That was SOOO cool! Feel free to contact if you want to discuss, because I just loved how it all came together. And the characters, like, totally developed in this.

Although, the problem that Ridley Pearson has faced since the beginning is making the villains actually menacing. It seems as though in all of the books, Finn and the gang have made it out way too easy. Although, the challenge did increase in this book, so thumbs up for Ridley. :]]
