After careful consideration by the moderators, we have determined that the “Project Credits,” "Donate your T-shirts for this prize," and similar types of posts/games/contests are not within the standards we have set for the VMK Forums.

The primary objective of these threads (and the contests described in them) is an attempt by players to get as many credits in a short amount of time as they can by collecting the items given and “selling” them back to the game.

As such, these are lotteries/raffles, which is a form of gambling.

Our first objective on this site is to protect our members, by removing flames, editing objectionable text, or, in this case, not allowing the advertising of games that can cause harm to some members while enriching others.

Another aspect of these threads has been their tendency to attract flaming and similar attacks. The rules of the forum plainly prohibit any posts which provoke controversy, and the reactions to these threads have convinced us that they fall within this rule as well.

Therefore, we are banning all threads and posts that advertise player-run games, contests, clubs or groups that require entry/participation based on items given to the owner of the event.

Thank you for your cooperation.
