It's always good to have your own accurate opinion on an item's value while trading. This guide should help you decide what an item is worth.

1. LOOK AT THREADS

Go to I Have to Trade (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=76), The Price is Right (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=84), or Wanted Trades (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=75) Fourm and look at what people are offering for other items. (For a complete list of items, please visit the Wiki (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Vmk#Inventory).) When you look at around ten offers, you may be able to get a vauge idea about what the item is going [trading] for. Remember these:

1. People expect higher offers than what the item is really worth.

2. No offer "isn't fair," it's just that no one likes what is offered.

3. There is always someone out there willing to negotiate with you.

2. RESEARCH

Your item may have come out at a certain time, and you need to know when it was released. To find this out, ask around VMK, or visit the Wiki (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Vmk#Inventory). Memorize things about some of the items, then you will be close to entering the world of trading and bargaining.

3. DEMAND AND SUPPLY

Some items are in very high demand- which means that they are wanted by many people. Many items' rarity depends on how high in demand they are. Demand builds up with time- so if you wait and trade for something that just came out, it will be fairly cheap- but if you wait until months later, it will be very, very expensive, all because lots of people want it.

Supply is how many of an item there is. Only a handful of people own Green Flip Flops, so they are easily one of the rarest of all items in VMK. Yellow Flip Flops, however, are on sale at the moment, and are worth hardly anything. Demand and Supply contribute alot to how rare or expensive and item is- thus making it difficult to find an item's value.

4. COMMON SENSE

This is what throws everyone off while trading, or figuring out an item's value. Use common sense. For example, don't assume that something that has been retired in 2007 to be worth more than something that has been retired in 2005. You need to look at the Supply and Demand of an object before you assume anything, actually.

5. START TRADING

Ah, you've made it through my boring guide! Good for you. Start to trade... but make sure you have your own opinion first!

Nice guide. I'd also like to add that the The Price Is Right (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=84) forum can be very useful in helping to determine whether an offer is fair. Remember, not everybody will agree, but by asking, you will get some idea of what others think.

Nice guide!
One thing I do when looking for an item's value is I search the item's name (in the forums) using the "Titles only" option. This way, i'll find threads specifically on that item and I'll have a better idea on how much it is worth.
