I came across several different blogs that were covering ComicCon in San Diego in talking about Disney/Pixar having a panel where they showed some footage of the upcoming Pixar feature.

Here's a short description of the plot from what I read (Some Key Spoilers Below):

The main character of the film is a 78-year-old man named Carl Fredricksen. When he was a kid he met a girl named Ellie, who he eventually married. Ellie had a dream that they would explore the world and live life to the fullest. However, they were never able to make good on their promise, and now Carl is a widower living alone in his small home. Developers are also threatening to move him into an old folks home. To escape from being taken away to the old folks home, he uses a ton of balloons launched from his roof to lift his house in the air.

But thanks to a stowaway 8-yr old wilderness explorer named Russell who is attempting to earn his final badge by assisting the elderly. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures to do what he promised long ago.
