View Full Version : Yeti Vision No Longer Giving 200 Credits?

I just tried Yeti Vision and it only gives me cars now, not the 200 credits. Just wanted to check and see if this is happening to anyone else? I also noticed that the selling price of the cart dropped to 5 credits. Me thinks that someone must have a hack for the game (like the narnia wardrobe?) and VMK is pulling the plug?

All those carts I had banked are now pretty worthless for credits (but may have use for decorating)

Yup, it seems that VMK is cracking down on all of the credit-garnering methods. First, there was a Remix of the Fireworks game, which caused a lot of people to revert to the Yeti Game (200 credits, plus 50 credits for the Cart isn't a bad idea). But, alas, those people now have no where to turn for decent credits.

What I don't understand is the paradox VMK is creating. What do I mean? Well, they obviously don't want many things to be rare or highly valued, so they have been releasing lots of beta and rare for the last few months. This shows a philosophy of letting everyone have most everything so that nothing is difficult to get (but it makes trading very difficult now since everyone has the same stuff). Making credits more difficult to gain and raising prices at the same time shows a completely different philosophy...or maybe it's just too difficult for me to grasp...

Anyone?

I agree, I don't know what is going on...but I have a new strategy for trading because of this change by vmk. It means that I am likely to not trade for rare furniture (because it has been popping up in host games lately) but instead the pins. I am guessing that pins will not be re-released? Anybody seen a pin re-released?

I think one of the things VMK should do is have a bank that you can deposit credits into and get a modest interest on the credits. I think it would teach people to save and has the added benifit of earning some more credits.

It will be interesting to see where they go with mini-games inside and out of VMK with this new "philosophy" though.

Before long the best way to get credits will be to visit the NPCs every day!

Exactly like it was in the beginning.

Yes, pins do get re released.

The tomorrowland set has been sold twice, the Bat Magic and the Snowman Magic have been sold twice. They may be others, not sure.

If you think about it, cutting the credits makdes total sense for VMK. Now in order to get the credits you need to buy stuff, you have to play more games and see more NPC's so you are spending more time in the game which is the whole point to begin with. Re-releases are really a pain, but I guess it cuts down on the whining.

Personally, I think they have made the changes to the external games as a way to force you into the kingdom to gain credits. Thus it also boosts the number of players in the kingdom. Second, by making it harder to get credits, players will buy less extras and therefore items will be scarcer (rarer) over time. I know I have already cut back on the number of extra weekend pins I buy as I want to have enough credits for extra hats and furniture.

As for in game pins being released again, the only pins that do not seem to come back are pins with dates on them. For example, the New Year's pins and last year's Holiday pins. I have seen many of the other pins available during Host pin trading events (especially host pins). I have also been able to get a missing pin by asking nicely during a pin event even if it was not on a lanyard and I had a suitable trade for it.:D
