A friend of mine was conned into let a guy try on one of her hats and then took it and dc. She reported him. Does it do any good to send a Contact Us message, or can they not do anything about it?

no, if you read the scam alert, it will say even if they trick you into letting them borrow it and steal it, you knowingly enterd the trade

Ok thanks, I was just wondering if it is worth it. I have told her, but she is little and trusts people. Still makes me mad though. People like that give VMK a bad name.

In any internet game with items, there is atleast one item stolen.
Sorry to hear, though.

I know what you mean but sadly, the real world shows a lot of ppl stealing, scamming others. I guess you should teach her to make safety transactions and only to trust in real friends, her family, in her self and ... I can't talk about religion so I'll just leave that space in blank.

I would still try the contact us. Give as many details as you can about where and when it happended. Give her account name and the person who traded with her if you have it. This happened to us once and staff was able to help us out.
