(Thanks to TPR for the pictures)

According to another site, Disney released it's annual report a bit early with some very interesting pictures.

What they mean? Who knows right now, but man, they sure do look neat. Also, none of them are 100% confirmed yet, but they are looking very likely.

Some of that would be very cool. I thinks a little too early for cars to have there own land

"Concept for new Disney theme park"???

Do we have any more information on this at all? From what I'm searching and seeing, none. But it does bear a REALLY strong resemblance to Tokyo Disneysea.

Where might this go, though? Florida? California? Somewhere new?

(I thought they were going to redo Autopia with Pixar's Cars.)

They were trying to bring Cars into DCA
A) just for the Pixar chutzpah of it (John Lasseter made a comment about "Wouldn't it be neat if the ride opened in time for the movie?" and it went to management's heads), but
B) also because they never DID bring a West Coast version of "Test Track" into DLR since Rocket Rods went under...Now they have a more plausible excuse, and don't have to mess with Walt's territory.

(Looks like we walk into the "desert" Radiator Springs, sign up for a race, and Test Track our way into the restored neon-50's version of the town.)

I suppose they could stretch the "Route 66" thing to fit the "California" theme. Works better than "A Bug's Land," anyway.

Here is the official Disney report (http://corporate.disney.go.com/investors/annual_reports/2006/). The "Cars" ride looks great as well as ALL the new movies. I can not wait.

We have much to look forward to in the coming year.

"In China, WDIG teamed with leading game developer Shanda Interactive Entertainment to develop and distribute an online casual game based on popular Disney characters."

Anyone know of this game?

wow... all this information is making me so happy. But I do have to be realistic...

1. it is a concept
2. it will probably take years before any of these things get put into action
3. I guess we should wait and see!!!

Thanks for the update!

some of the posts are on the right track, others are way off... and to think, they forgot some other key elements which are involved with this art..

I would say more, but i cannot...

I'm surprised no one is talking about the concept art that Disney put in their 2006 Annual Report:
A lot of this art I don't think is new news but I haven't seen most of these concepts talked about much.

Well i know i am missing my annual report now
the first pic looks like a possible retheme of Autopia that they have tossed around for a little while and could possibly happen to gain new sponsorship of that attraction
monsters looks like a dark ride concept to add a flashlight like a astro blasters type ride to provide more interactivity.
the new theme park i have been hearing may be a mini theme park, interesting ideas that they put out there.
The water show looks similar to the one at the disneyland hotel that has been around for a long time might be gone now it has been awhile since i have seen it.
toy story themed area we know is coming to the boardwalk at DCA.
New entertainment complex might be an idea of a some type of arcade play complex, (urban entertainment complex)
pirates themed area could be anything from the replacement to the tom sawyers island or an addition to the canal boats story book area.

The Car Land is probably the rumoured new land for DCA.
The Monsters Inc ride is supposedly being put in TDL somewhere, with the "flashlight" technology used in Tokyo Disneysea's 20K.
The pirate themed adventure picture could be Tom Sawyer's Island at DLR, or it could be the rumoured new pirate land at HKDL.

I'm surprised no one is talking about the concept art that Disney put in their 2006 Annual Report:

I once saw an ad last year on the Disneyland Paris Resort's website about a Cars Ride.
There was a rumor flying out there that the water spectacular was for Paradise Pier in California Adventure.

A lot of this art I don't think is new news but I haven't seen most of these concepts talked about much.

Probably the only time this will be told to a MOD: Use the search button ;) JK of course.
Anyways, these pictures look really cool.

car land is the rumored new land for DCA. they also said they might build smaller theme parks like six flags across the country which is what the theme park concept art may be for. also they are adding pirates lair to tom sawyer ilsand in DLR ill post a pic of the sign that says this laster on

this is just some observations i made:
1) i have a strong feeling that autopia may be replaced with this new carland ride. a bug's life might need to stay because it is a little kiddies place just like towntown is for disneyland.
2)they will probably add this to monster's inc. ride in dca because right now it's not exactly popular and flashlights will make for more interaction? and maybe it will be like you can't see the monsters unless you shine the light on them.
3)the new disney theme park will probably be in the next most popular country after china...india? i dunno it makes me think of the ganges :\
4)the water spectacular looks like it's for tokyo disneysea.
5)toy story mania is headed for dca. woot!
6)ahhhh!!! sid really big is scary. umm. this one's for whatever park has a theatre they're not using for something better. it looks like it might be terminator style from the universal parks with live action and a computer generated background mixed together.
7)the glass entertainment center mimics the style of disneyland paris. hence, it belongs there.
8)pirate themed adventure is the fate of tom sawyer's island.

Ok most of the rides in the art will be made in DLR and WDW IF the nemo ride does well. Also the Monsters Inc. flaslight ride is called Ride-N-Go-Seek and its in TDL. The cars ride i've heard will be an autopia re-design. Toystory Mania will be in Disney's California Adventure and MGM.

I just saw these images in my annual report, and I am impressed. I didn't flip through it right away when I got it, which was bad on my part. Busy, busy.

I love these concepts, even if I know some of them won't be built.

Cars i heard was going into Walt Disney World Studios in Paris.

There is a new section opening up in that park, it includes two new Vekoma Roller Skaters. One is themed to Finding Nemo, Crush and the EAC to be exact, and the other is themed to Cars. Each include a small dark ride section before actually going through dips and turns on the coaster track.

Is anyone else super excited to see that the vehicles for the Toy Story ride seem to shoot actual sharp pointed darts? I, for one, can't wait for the carnage.
