Yesterday I went to EPCOT on a class trip. When me and my group went to take the boat trolly back to Mexico in the World Showcase. All of the sudden this cast member holds up a pile of mickey ears with silver for the ears and the cap was blue with clouds. She says "You are all winners of YOAMD mickey ears"! About 20 minutes later, we were at Innovation's future house. Our tour guide for the house said the ears are not avalible at any store.
So if you want a pair of them just ride the boat trolly.

we go to magic kingdom like 2 times a month and so far i have seen many of the dream winners wearing them, i no they are not on sale for the public but ppl do come in and come out with them so how, i havn't been smart to really ask ill ask someone next time i go

They are random to win anywhere in WDW.
Here's an example:
The next person to walk out of rock n' roller coaster, at 11:52 on the right hand side will win mickey ears. If two people walk out, then it will be the person on the left. And yes, it's as random as that! So everyone who goes on the boat trolly will not get the mickey ears.
I got a free ice-cream in Animal Kingdom, because I was probably something like The 3rd person of the day to look at the cast members pins.
And no, you can't buy them, you have to win them, randomly. There's another kind of mickey ears, the ones with the flashy ears you can buy :).
Hope I cleared some things up.

Anyway: Congratulations on getting those mickey ears, I was hoping to get them all vacation, but sadly we didn't. I got an ice-cream. Yay me. :D

Eh, those can be found anywhere - I see them all the time in the World of Disney store.

I just got back and my "dream" i got was getting to ride Primeval Whirl 2 times in a row.. without even getting off the ride. It was cool.. And I got fastpasses....it was pretty awesome cant wait to go back in march

Yeah, it seems we're always just a few minutes too late to get the Dreams ears. But we keep trying!

Hmm i still think the ones i have seen at disneyland with lights are better.
