if you mean the calandar one, you get that from a quest that come out before through the Q Button. Very easy, simple trivia based on last year's events.

edit: just checked, there is no new pin in the emporium, but all the holiday items are gone. Are we ever getting that green dreidel chair? lol.

Are you sure that this pin can't be traded? Because I found someone with 2 of these pins, and I believe you can't take the same quest twice.....

Probably, that person traded for the second pin pefore it was made untradeable. I have two purple superhero tops, because I traded for one before it was made untradeable. Of course, as I can only wear one at a time, and as the top is now untradeable, the second one is useless to me. I suppose I could sell it for fifty credits.

Yep. It was originally tradeable, but due to excessive muling, VMK has decided not to allow us to trade this pin. I expect we'll be seeing many more untradeable quest prizes in the future, unless VMK can come up with some other way to deal with all the mules.

Has anybody checked to see whether the cookie trees and football randomizers are still tradeable? Those would have been heavily muled, as well.

There is a drawback to that, of course. Some of my friends are out of town and cannot run through the quest, if it's just a one or two day quest. Normally, I do try to get extras for my friends who can't get items, but with vmk making this pin non-tradeable, my friends will be left without a special New Year's pin, even though many have been playing since Beta. This is when I feel VMK is being unfair. Just my opinion, of course. But it would be nice to make this pin available to everyone.

I was in the Host room tonight and I asked Lily why the pin wasn't tradeable and she was very helpful. She just said (and I quote): "Because it's not". Hmm.... I think it's kind of weird that the pin isn't tradeable. Maybe it will become tradeable after the quest ends. A nice thought, but..... I imagine this quest will be around all month - I figure that if it was going to be a one or two day thing, it would have been available with the New Year Bash event. Just my random thoughts....

It's rather obvious that it's because of the mule infestation.

It's possible that it will become tradeable at some point in the future, but the only real precedent for that is the superhero mask, which was originally an untradeable quest prize, but which was made tradeable when they rereleased it for sale for Halloween. I think it's unlikely that this New Year 2007 pin will be rereleased, so it will probably remain untradeable indefinitely.

Sometimes, the quests are modified by staff so people can make it more than once. It happened to me with the Halloween quest. They modified the fireworks time and I got 2 pins.

the quest to get it is xtremely easy

the new years quest was very easy.. well at least to me because in the newsletter they already had almost al the answers in it because it said " good memories from 06"

Maybe they should have just done what they did last year. I logged on that day and just magically found it in my inventory. One per character, that leaves out the mule problem. :)
