View Full Version : High School Musical: Still a big hit?
camara 01-03-2007, 04:17 AM Can you believe it? Just last month (December) i was hearing/reading things like "This time last year we had no idea what High School Musical was." Now, here we are, about 2-3 weeks away before it's officially been 1 year since the movie came out. Is it still a big hit? I remember how it was very popular on itunes and in vmk for a few weeks.
Linz2392 01-03-2007, 04:40 AM i still think high skool musical is still a big hit. my sisters high skool is doing the play. so it is still going strong. plus they just made a remix dvd and a game

timmyastro 01-03-2007, 10:57 AM Hmm.. i dont get how everyone is obsessed over it.. I personally could be the biggest HSM ranter yet..
billabonggirl 01-03-2007, 11:20 AM I mean it's ok, it was all cool like last January but now it's just kind of annoying with all the new stuff coming out..I mean come on how much HSM stuff does one person need..
Neoteny 01-03-2007, 11:41 AM I got so caught up in HSM fever that I bought the remix DVD without even having seen the movie. I did get 100 Disney Movie Rewards points for buying it, though, and one of these days I might actually watch it!

xD I try to keep my distance for HSM, because I worry it's contagious! :D
I keep hearing the HSM music coming from Toronto. I think it's just my head, but it's weird..

NEOTENY IS ONE OF THEM! AHHHHH!!!!!
Neoteny 01-03-2007, 07:50 PM I think maybe I'll watch it today. I'll let you know what I think.
Dudejoejoe 01-03-2007, 11:16 PM It's not THAT BAD. Why don't you people like it? The music is catchy, although Troy is annoying with his little Fangirls, It's still good.
Dudetteroxs 01-03-2007, 11:24 PM I'm afraid of Troy. O_o
PrincessWall 01-03-2007, 11:31 PM Hmm.. i dont get how everyone is obsessed over it.. I personally could be the biggest HSM ranter yet..
Uh, no way. I could type the longest rant in HISTORY on that movie -.-
Was never a big hit with me, never will be.

technogirl 01-04-2007, 12:03 AM Yeah it is.. -.- They're selling HSM bracelets at the Downtown Disney shop. Oh, and you're right about Disney regretting not putting HSM in theaters. ;)

Hmm.. when you listen to songs like 'This Is Halloween' or 'Kidnap The Sandy Claws' 13 times a day, songs like 'Bop to the Top' or 'Breaking Free' get repetitive, annoying, and just plain too happy-go-lucky. xD They annoy me.
And the story is just a tween-teen version of Grease. I mean, if I wanted to watch Grease, I'd watch Grease! o_o
And finally, the story movement is scratchy. It doesn't progress smoothly enough. I was lost after the basketball game! They went to a..try out? That seemed like the main production to me. That practice montage.. was just for a try out for a musical? Why? What's their motivation to try so hard? What's with the moving backdrop durning 'Breaking Free'? That didn't look like a try out. But what does that have to do with a real play?
So many questions, so little answers.

MiniFabulousShell 07-10-2007, 06:46 AM Yeah, I liked it last year :PopcornSmilie: when it wasn't so ANNOYING!!!!!!! :Smiley - Harump: I mean the concert, that remix, STUPID TROY T-SHIRTS IN LTD.TOO..... I think only the little 7 & 8 year olds like it right now (and a few HSM tween fans are left... but most are annoyed). Sorry guys, I'm excited about HSM2, but they're just going overboard on the extra stuff... :thmotocanagliatesta
