It's not being removed. It's getting a "Rock and Roll" Upgrade. As well as Space Mountain. This was confirmed on the Disney World Parade on Christmas (They talked about DLR as well). So I think the story is a lie.

i went to DLR a week ago... both rides were running and they were both awesome!!! and yea they both have speakers in the seats next to your ear blasting music too add to the fun!!

I have seen the commercail about 25 times today.

They are Playing a soundtrack of music by "The Red Hot Chili Peppers"

On the Commercail, it is "Higher Ground".

It is both Screamin and Space Mountain.

I dont know if they will have the EXACT same music.
It starts on Jan. 3.

I don't see why Disney would spend thousands (likely millions) of dollars on a roller coaster, then remove it. Besides, I don't belive there has been any "Casualties" on CFS.

They are just trying to find another way to raise there prices on everything. It's like 2,000 dollars a trip for me. That's why I've been there ONCE.

Anyway, as everyone said, it's not being removed, updated.

Rockin' Both Parks starts tomorrow. (Jan. 3rd)
It's basically an overlay of Space Mountain at Disneyland park and California Screamin’ at Disney’s California Adventure park. The music, as said above, will be RHCP with all-new effects for Disneyland's Space Mountain and just the soundtrack for DCA, for more info PM me!

Yep, apparently starting tomorrow Rockin' California Screamin' and Rockin' Space Mountain should be up tomorrow. They did remove the loop temporally to install new effects for it a while back. I'll me riding once it's up.

But I Did ride with the lights on before, right before Grad Night !

And I have been on SM in Flrioda with the lights on 3 times.

I would doubt they would remove California Screamin' from DCA.
Maybe they ARE putting a Rock 'N Roller Coaster type spin on it though.

Mickey Mania, the same ride that they are building where Who Want's to be a Millionare was at MGM. The official announcement should be sometime this week during the press conference that they are having at WDW Wednesday through Friday.
