I have alot of spare time lately and I was wondering whether I should remake his UP archive now that he has left and obvisiously not coming back anytime soon. I know Im probably going to get people angry, (or not) this is just another one of my ideas if the no's overcome the yesses I'll be happy to make it, if the no's win I wont. post your thoughts

No...that's what the wiki is for (which has a LOT more information than his UP ever did).

I believe all the same information is on the wiki. Why don't you see if you can contribute to that?

The wiki is great but, it wouldnt hurt to have another place for people to get info.

JeremyV's page was a great resource, but the Wiki (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Vmk) has sufficiently taken over that role (and expanded upon it), so I don't think we need another archive like that. It would just be redundant.

u have my word to go for it, sometimes the wiki confuses me, but it is also a good tool, its better to have more tools then less tools. pm me if u need help with, ill be happy to help.

Although I respect and admire jv for the work done (and bopper for that matter and the work he has done with the pins) I would have to say that the wiki is where we are putting the comprehensive source of information and photos. Most don't maintain their threads in the forums anymore (my "all furniture" list, the quests, the beta lists, the room maps, etc.) due to the fact that the wiki is much easier to deal with (and find information for that matter.) In fact, bopper only puts a text list of pins and mentions to look at the wiki for the photos.

I am not trying to discourage you but it would seem a large amount of time on something that has already been done. In addition, should you choose to put all of that information/photos on your UP you will need moderator/admin permission due to the large amount of storage needed for it :)

Just a thought.

No, that IS what the wiki is for.. People need to start looking at the wiki before they post a question. It is almost guarranteed (sp?) that the wiki answers it.

Perhaps you may wish to join the wiki editorial staff? :) We're always on the lookout for people who are willing to work to help keep the wiki updated. I know there have been days and weeks where all my spare time has gone into the wiki.

I used to use JeremyV's page all the time, but that was before the Wiki was as comprehensive as it is today. I do miss that Aladdin music, though. :)
