Anyone as completley obsessed with Okami Like I am? I've officially declared it my second favorite game (Topped only by Phantom Brave, of course ;))

For those of you who don't know what Okami is,

Okami is a game for the playstation 2 where you play as the Japanese Sun God, Ameratsu, reincarnated as a white wolf. You arrive in a village called Kamiki, in order to save them from an 8-headed snake called Orochi.


But, unless your a huge nerd on all things Japan, you probably won't get the story too much. I hardly do, myself XD. But the cool part of the game is the Celestial Brush. The brush is Ameratsu's version of spellcasting. By holding down R1, the screen will turn into a painting, which you may alter to your whim. You can create wind, slash things in half, redirect lightning bolts, and other cool things.

And don't worry, the game accepts ugly looking circles and lines that aren't straight. It's not the easiest thing to make a piece of art with a PS2 controller, after all ;)

I WANT IT SOOO BADLY!!!

Its an OK Game the only thing bad about it is that it is not a very well know title.

some of the least known games are the best (elite beat agents, oeundan). I have the demo for this game. It's so amazing, just the way it looks makes it above average, then the gameplay. This game is begging to be made on ds!

Harvest Moon, and ZOIDS Battle Legend, kick butt!!

I rented it and beat about half the game. Now I'm getting it for christmas (Which is tomorrow! Whoo!) To finish the other half ;)

I got the game, and i'm about a third of the way through (big twist, had no idea was coming ;)) I have to say this looks better than any other game I have ever seen, better than PS3 even. They aren't realistic, just beautiful and amazing. Here are some pictures.

these look blurry, but on the game they look amazing! There's only one way to experience how good it looks, and that's playing it on the PS2. And the game is about 40-50 hours to beat.

If you look at some of the early trailers, they were going to make it next-gen photorealistic (It almost looked like a 360 game) but they changed their mind because of technical limitations (my guess is that the Celestial Brush didn't work well with the old graphics)

And the ending theme, Reset by Ayaka Hirahara, it's awesome.

This is one of the best games of all time. Although the graphics aren't so great at times, this game is one of my favorite games ever.

Okami never really heard of it.
