vmkstar99 12-19-2006, 09:03 PM I'm getting a silver iPod nano 2nd generation for Christmas! I can't wait!
Does anyone else have one? How cool are they? Can they do lots of things?
(Oh yeah, the one I'm getting is 2GB and will be engraved. I wanted the blue one but it was too expensive.)
BasketballFarrah 12-19-2006, 09:05 PM I got a blue iPod nano for my birthday.
It has:
Games
Voice Memos
Calender
Podcasts
Radio
Photos(Can't take pictures but can store them)
Um...and some others I can't think of right now.

I have a video, but personally i like them better because the nanos don't have much memory lol
Zippietododaa 12-19-2006, 10:08 PM oo that sounds cool but i think the whole ipod thing is way to expensive. i mean you could get a mp3 player that's 15GB for 25 to 50 dollars less..idk it sounds cool though.

I have that iPod. I LOVE it so far. It does have some extra features such as Games (I'm always playin' solitaire!), an alarm clock, stopwatch, clock, and many others. Make sure to get some type of case though. They easily break. The silicon case is possibly the cheapest you can get for it.
By the way, the package says the battery life is 24 hours, but my friends and my iPod only lasts for about 5 hours for some reason.
If you have some extra cash, you can always try getting the accessory pack. My accessory pack included a wall charger, FM transmitter (Let's you listen to your iPod music through any radio), headphone sharer (special plug that allows you to plug two headphones for 2 people to listen to), and a couple others. You save money. Unfortunately, without the iPod wall charger (not included), you have to charge your iPod by plugging it to your computer for about 2 hours. But, as VMK players, you can always play VMK as your iPod is charging.

Yes, but almost all MP3 players don't have a playlist, mean you have to click and click to find the song. With a turn of your thumb on the iPod, your at the song you want. [I have both an MP3 player and an iPod Nano- blk, 1gb]
Plus, MP3 players can't hold pictures, don't have games, and a number of other awesome features the iPods do have.
So, iPods are really cool.

Off Topic: Ew. Don't get a Plasma. They only last like, four or five years, even if the picture is better. -science teacher told us that-
Back in Topic: I forgot to mention. You guys are lucky you get your iPods for birthdays and christmas! I have $75, and my mom paid for the rest, but like, all the chores and such I went towards it. That was back in like, September. [Now I have 77 dollars =) And I don't get an allowance.] But like, last year she [my mum] got me an MP3 player, because I didn't want an iPod, but then I decided I wanted one after a while.
Advice:
1) Don't take iPods to school.
2) Don't put them in a pocket, or something such as a backpack [if your like me] that you throw down carelessly. Pockets are OK with cases. So are purses.
3) I'm not sure if the new generation has the chrome plated back side, but if it does, I'd recommend a case, because if your like me [again] you'll get paranoid about the finger prints and marks on the back.
4) Cases are only 10-25 dollars. I have two; a flip one [not the best, it's hard to scroll because if the thing they have protecting the front side...] and the other is a rubbery one, and it came with a sticker type thing for the click wheel, and a hard screen cover. It's my favorite [plus it comes in a few colours.. I have the blue/white one!].
[Below is a picture of my iPod w/ the two cases. I was bored one day!]

Have fun with your iPod, when you get it!
