"Fighting online is like racing in the special olympics; even if you win, you're still.."

Somebody posted a list of things that they hate on a different site.
And this one thing happend to catch my eyes.
I edited the last word because it isn't really appropriate.
Anyway, this is something that I really hate.
What I don't get is why people put down other people just because they are different.
I've learned to accept that people can't help but be who they are at a very young age because of my brothers, since of course I grew up with them.
But I don't see how the world can't accept this after all this time.

people are cruel. i used to laugh at people just because they were different. that was when i was young. i realized i was different than most kids then as well; they just laughed at me and i was oblivious to it.

now i notice how much people point out my differences. it doesn't bother me; i can take it, but it doesn't mean that it's not cruel. at the same time, i don't make fun of people for stuff they can't help, but i do laugh at people for stupid things they do when they're aware of it. seriously.

but i agree, that's really harsh. i don't like how bad people can be sometimes, but you've just got to deal. if it were possible, i'd try to make everyone a bit nicer. not perfectly "never make fun of someone", but just...well, you get it. some things people cannot help, and they shouldn't be ridiculed.

That's why I never like to use the word hate at all. Hate can be such a powerful word. Hate causes many negative things. It only takes a murmur of different syllables to say the right words. I just don't get why it's so hard for people to say the right things....

that person is REALLY cruel, i personally am soooo glad they have special olympics! has that person ever thout it boosts our confindance, probably not. Some people in the world our that harsh and cruel, this coming from aperson who is different, point of view
