View Full Version : Should other VMK Players...
TwistedPink 12-10-2006, 01:23 AM I was Wondering,
Do you think other VMK players Besides You could have the right
to..
-Be able to move around your furniture in your room?
-Boot people besides you
Only if you gave them the right to do that stuff in your room.
And even if they weren't there, you could remove those rights from them?
Or would you say No.
Because that would get Annoying!
Or they would move all your stuff around.
Or Boot your friends.
Post your thoughts.
-Twisted
jedibunny 12-10-2006, 01:31 AM i think they would mess up your room and if u wanted a line for a game ppl could just move your stuff and the whole crowd would pile in bc they are to dumb (sorry for that) to realize that you don't want them too
and besides they might boot u! lol
msdthomas 12-10-2006, 02:08 AM I think it would be good to have the ability to assign rights. For example, say you need to go have dinner, and your room is really popular. You could assign rights to a friend to boot, and effectivley serve as a "Host", but not an owner. Though you can also make the rights so they do not allow the personto move stuff. If stuff was removed, it would return to you.
Just my take :)
jsmall 12-10-2006, 02:14 AM i think its an easy way to scam so its a bad idea
CookyHalie 12-10-2006, 02:18 AM i think so if it was my chosing of who and if i could take it away because maybe i have to go and i want my bestest friend to be in charge. but just as long as they can't take my stuff only move it and rotate it. and boot ppl if they are anoyhing also if someone is to report the room it should go under there name for they did the problem
Cakee 12-10-2006, 02:26 AM No and no. I don't really like feeling that 'random' people could move my furniture. Let's say, there are people in my room, and I have to go. One strange+random person comes in and starts messing with my stuff. I'd get back on the day after and it's all messy. No thanks.
People can get mad at one of your friends, for no reason perhaps? Yet another example: I'm in my room with my friends. Some silly person, who in this case is my friend, comes in and starts to joke around. Friend 'A' doesn't like the fact that Friend 'B' is joking around, but I find it quite amusing. Friend 'A' will boot Friend 'B' without asking the owner, me, if he/she could boot. Friend 'A' will probably say "Sorry, I couldn't stand it anymore", while Friend 'B' didn't do anything wrong.
Confusing eh? I know, I don't know what I'm saying.
Anyways, I don't want other people to move my furniture or boot my friends. I'm already not a big fan of booting, now why should a friend boot for me? Bah, my post made no sense at all xD.
magicgirldude 12-10-2006, 03:02 AM No lol I don't like that idea at all. But I think it would be neat if we could place/remove our things in other peoples room.
ppockets 12-10-2006, 03:09 AM i like the idea someone posted above ^ about letting someone become host if you have to go to dinner. i've tried to do this before when i had a full cute or boot room but had to go to bed, but it was hard because the girl couldn't open and close gates and so on. i think u should be able to specify ppl as 'co-hosts' when they come to your room, allowing them to move your furniture, open gates, and have almost all the powers of an host
gpdot 12-10-2006, 03:30 AM Yes move furniture, but you have to assign rights to specific people, and when you log out those rights are gone (or when you take them away which ever is first). This is of course providing that they can only move and rotate, not take away (i.e. put it in their inventory).
And NOBODY but you should boot someone from your room.
WafflePrincess 12-10-2006, 03:33 AM If that was possible I would only give those rights to my closet friends who I think (Hope) wouldn't mess up my store rooms :D
But I still vote no
HappyGirlKels 12-10-2006, 03:55 AM I voted yes!
I think rights to your room, sounds like habbo hotel, but hey! Its works. Although i don't get on habbo hotel anymore..
Adventuredaz 12-10-2006, 08:22 AM I really had thought this was a possible idea they would incorporate for the next team ride competition. and also would be usefull when operating a game room quest or other type of funtional room with open doors to many guests. this would alow assigned "team members" the ability to remove disruptive visitors, also solve problems in rooms of team members while they are unavailable. It would probably be more complicated then they will bother with. It could have issues if instead your friend turned disruptive, but if you really trusted them it would be ok I think. I think differnt levels of control, or a game room/ride room mode for guest rooms that alow this would be ok.
DarthMelissa 12-10-2006, 09:57 AM I think it would need to be drilled down more than say, just "rights" to your room. Potentially different "rights" I see as being implemented are:
*boot rights
*moving furniture rights
*removal/addition of furniture rights
I add the removal/addition of furniture in there as well because I believe it is important. For instance, I would trust my brother to have the brains to not only be able to boot people, but help out with trades/games or whatever I have in my room. Now I wouldn't give full rights to any joe blow off the street, but to the very VERY few I know that I could trust with my items.
Yes, this type of additional rooms right could allow for players to be scammed or lose items, but again, a risk each player would need to weight before they assign rights out to everyone and their dog.
All in all, I would fully support additional room rights. It's all about playing the game safely and smartly. If you aren't able to handle that part of it, than perhaps this isn't the game for you.
Just my two cents :)
abbycatkid 12-10-2006, 01:37 PM No! Don't do it!
If people could rearrange furniture, what would become of a room that looks like something. In an instant, people can destroy your hard work. Plus, it's your room, YOU have the authority, so why let other players be able to boot? I think all players should be able to boot from regular rooms, not the guest rooms.
Angel Fancy 12-10-2006, 02:10 PM I would not like that at all. If they had the right to move your furniture then they would also be able to take your furniture out and into their stuff. Nope, not a good idea. I spend alot of time decorating my room and I don't want someone else coming in and messing it all up. Now if someone has a suggestion that is one thing but I don't want them to have the liberty to just come in and change it. Just my opinion. Angel Fancy :santa2: :xmastree:
MrAlphaCool 12-10-2006, 03:06 PM you would just give rights to people you trust, so i say yes

they wont have the right to take your furniture, just move it
rapby60 12-10-2006, 06:59 PM No Way! its the easiest way to scame for ur stuff lol they can sell it or do somethign else so i saw no wayz
adorablepup 12-10-2006, 07:07 PM no, i wouldnt let them do that, but i voted yes bc i forgot to read the first post, so i would of voted no.
Alexthedragon 12-10-2006, 07:16 PM No. You could have a game room, and then peoplw would mess up the lines, the games, so they could go or win the prize.
For example, say you have a falling chairs room and someone takes away all the chairs and boots everyone and then says that they win. What would you do?
TwistedPink 12-10-2006, 08:57 PM Well Ya But,
How could they scam you when they can't take your furniture away?
Just Move/Rotate and Boot People.
I actually voted, I don't care xD.
Cakee has a Point about the Friend A&B Thing, though.
DarthMelissa 12-11-2006, 07:17 AM People people. Just because you might HAVE the ability to assign rights to people doesn't mean you HAVE to.
The can only scam you out of stuff if you give them rights. Like I said in my last people, I would most likely only assign rights to like my brother, or my best friend in real. People that I know I could trust without any issues.
Again, I think it is a great idea and could be worked out to help people from getting scammed.
As far as Cakee and the issue of Friend A and B and booting, only assign rights to people that you know that you can trust. Also, if you assign them rights to boot, be VERY CLEAR that if YOU are in the room they are not allowed to boot unless you ask them to. I mean, it is your room, so lay down the law. Make up a punishment for them so that they know you mean business.
Again, it's just a game, none of it is real, so if your stuff gets stolen, not really much you can do.
SoccerRyan 12-11-2006, 11:34 AM No way. Things would get way too crazy...

Exactly.
But even if they had the rights, they can't scam you.
no way. if they had the rights to do that, you never know what could happen. it would probably make complete havoc...
EDIT: Listen to rocks.i lol

I agree with that.
Assigning ONE person to be able to do CERTAIN things.
It'd be more complicated than that but.... ya' know.
daizyduke 12-17-2006, 03:10 AM I wouldn't exactly let THEM control MY room. I'm sure the would mess up my room, and take my stuff. And NO WAY would I let them change my signature or my clothes.
Slamina 12-17-2006, 03:15 AM I thought of this too, I think sometimes you need help like in games or quests. That is a good idea, they should have a rights button.
