Im a right handed but i tring to train my self to write with my left. Im not good at it, but its an interesting exsperience. Its like going through elementary school all over again.

i'm also right-handed...i'm predicting that most people who answer this poll truthfully will be a right-handed person. Only because being right-handed is a dominant trait.

I was hoping for the option to chose both. I am a bit ambidextrous. Even though I am stronger with my right hand, I have had to use my left hand just as much when I had a baby. I could eat, write and type with both. On all these occasions, I only could use one hand at a time and I did not always get to chose which. ;)

Woot!! I'm a lefty all the way, which I love.

Only thing I don't love so much is when I have a writing utensil in my hand and it is upside down :( Try it, hold a pen with writing on it in your left hand and it will make sense. Wish that could be fixed. LOL

Example:
I write with my right hand
Throw a football with my left
Fire a gun with my left finger on the trigger (Did this in Michigan during Hunting Season, don't hurt me!)
Throw a baseball with my left hand
Bat in baseball on left side of the base, making me right handed on that, too.

It's very weird. I think as a small child I should have learned how to write left-handed, but since both of my parents are right-handed, that might explain it.

Probably because left is the same direction as south... and paws are the same thing as animal hands...

The only bad part is the writing system is designed for right handers. All lefties I think write with the flat side of your hand on the left which will be on the paper(Slightly confusing bear with me) and when you write like that you smear that place with led/graphite. I am annoyed with this, this is why we write left to right, left handers should just write right to left it's MUCH more convenient. And those binders, they are so annoying, everything is for righties which is pretty annoying.

He taught me this trick so that I could learn like my dominant eye or something.
Turns out the eye was my left so I had to shoot with my left finger on the trigger

He said I should be a lefty then if my dominant eye was my left. Oh well

South Paw, or sinister in alchemy, refers to how people used to view us left handers. Believe it or not, but being left-handed was at one point in world history considered to be a sign of witchcraft or being "evil". Many methods were developed to "encourage" left handed writers to adopt the more "correct" way of writing with the right hand (some of them were not very pleasant, I can assure you). Just goes to show you how backwards people were in their thinking back in the day.

Did you know that several American presidents were left-handed? It's true. And, did you know that the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body? The next time you get ridiculed by some right-hander for being left-handed, just tell them that only left-handers are in the right minds! LOL

I'm right handed. But I sometimes use my left hand for stuff like opening a bottle. I hold the bottle in place with my write hand, and take the cap off with my left. O.o

Write with my right
Use the mouse with both, pirates is much more easier with the left.
Eat with right, or left, I don't 'member.

But I only write with my right hand, I basically do everything else with my left.

I hold my pen sooo weird! My index finger wraps around my pen, my thumb is slighty under it, my middle finger is right below the tumb wrapped around the pen,my ring finger and pinky are behind all the others and lay gently against the pan not wrapping. I ALSO AM A LEFDTY! AND PROUD SINCE MOST MY FAMILY ISNT ONE AND NOT MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY ARE! :)

Im a RIGHITY :) and i had the same prob i broke my right hand LOL but i had someone right and type and all like that for me ;)

I'm left handed, but it gets annoying since I sometimes bump my elbow with the person next to me in writing, everything is for right handers, and because everything is for right handers, I always get mixed-up when I do a new sport or something like that. And since the writing law things was made for right handers, when I'm not being careful I smudge the writing of the paper which sometimes :(

But a week ago, I got a nintendo wii and it's programed for right and left handers ( most of the time, when using a nunchuck, it's better to use the right handed way and when doing those racing games too it's sometimes hard for me, matters what kind of game :( ) like in the game that comes with the sytstem, when you click on the characters you want to use, it gives you options if you are left-handed or right-handed. :)

I'm right handed, but I do have more strenght on my left hand though for some reason, and I handle some stuff better with my left hand - like opening a bottle of pb or a drink with a cap.

I also handle better the stick to play pool (billards) and golf :eek: sometimes a baseball bat :D

Actually, you can catch with both hands. The one who has the mit (in your case the right) just catches it, but your other can goes on the back of the mit and can lead it. :snow_cool:

I'm a lefty :) Although I can't cut with scissors or a knife with my left hand.. or throw a ball or bat lefty.. I can play tennis with both tho.. lol

hmm... In a way I am both right and left handed. I use my right hand to write, but my left to draw. I choose right handing because I'm assuming you are talking about which hand I write with.

I am right-handed. But I tend to do almost everything else with my left hand.

I'm mostly right handed but I'm part left handed too. I'm like 2/3 left handed(No kidding.) I've been practicing writing with my left hand since when I was like 8 years old. It's almost the same as my right hand. I just need to write a bit faster and it'll be exactly like my right hand! :snow_cool:

You should've put ambidexterous....I'm kind of ambidexterous, if I concentrate really hard with my left hand. XP

I am left handed with strong ambidextrous tendencies. Part of this is due to many tools and equipment being designed for righties. I do not have the exact statistic but many lefties have had serious and life threatening injuries from using right handed tools. I have taught myself to use many right handed tools as best as possible and have bought lefty tools where possible to reduce my risk of injury. Of course, my favorite tools are those that are not handed. :)

Technically I am right handed. But I can use my left hand pretty good when I need/have to. It's not perfect but it's pretty good. If I used my left more I'd probably get better.
