Does your family get a real tree or a fake one? We get two real ones every year. I love the way they smell!!

I always get a real one. I just LOVE the piney scent. And without a real one, it's not the same.

We're getting ours maybe next week. For the same reason as abbycatkid.

My grandmother always has a fake tree. But it's BEAUTIFUL. She puts an angel on top, and puts tinsel on it along with the ornamanets.

We have always gotten a real Christmas tree. I agree that there's nothing like the smell and beauty of the real thing :)

We have a ten foot fake tree in our living room which we put up a little while before Thanksgiving. We have, like, a little above six foot fake one in my room :-) We have a seven foot fake tree in our basement that we have no idea what to use for...

At my house we always get real wreaths and a real tree

My family gets a real Christmas tree. We go up to the mountains to get it.

Fake tree. We've had the same one ever since I can remember. It's like color coded. First the branches coded brown go on the bottom, then blue..

This year i have a fake one but i want want want a real one!!!

I was tired and polled the wrong one, I have had the same fake tree my whole life, and it's still...not alive...well, it's not torn to shreads.

This year we got a fake tree.
Hopefully next year we will get a real one

We are a fake one. My family has owned it for 23 years now

We have a fibre optic tree, which allows us to let the ends of the branches and leaves light up. Of course, it has to be disney-fied. So we put the yearly baubles and a tigger on the top. Tigger is better than a star!! :)

I'm thinking about getting a fake one. However, as others have pointed out, there is nothing like the smell of a real Christmas tree. We probably wont bother to get one since we're going home to California for the holiday, so I'll just sniff Grandma's tree this year.

As much as I enjoy the smell of a real tree, several family members are extremely allergic to pine so therefore we ALL have fake trees (due to visiting) so no one has to suffer. I do however, purchase an outdoor wreath each year from a local scout troop to support them and I was told the trees only have some limbs harvested for the wreaths. The wreath goes in the garage during family visits.

I figure if you buy 1 tree a year instead of a fake, you essentially kill about 15 plus trees in the lifespan of one fake tree. Granted real trees are recyclable and fake trees are landfill but I figure one tree every 20 years or so is a lot better than some other things that go in weekly. ;)

Being allergic to something within real trees we go for an artificial one.
I love real ones though! But we spent some good money on a really nice looking fake one that doesn't look bad, and by the time it's filled with ornaments you can't tell anyway (we had to buy a bigger tree for all our ornaments a couple years ago LOL)

We always get a real tree. I was surprised to see the results, with more people having fake trees. I don't know anyone who has a fake tree.

we only get a real because the fake ones just create more garbage ( if you get rid of them) and the real ones can be turned into bark chips.

They're useable year after year so you don't have to keep buying new ones, =].

Both... We always used to get one real one, but now we have more room... So we got two real ones and a fake one :D

I knew a family who decorated their tree a full, solid different color every year. For example, if they decided on blue for this year's theme, then they would have to go and buy all new ornaments, garland, ect!

100% Real! Ah who Cares about the needles, they are fast and easy to clean up! Plus the Smell of pIne remindes me of my old house :D Good times!

We get a fake one, even though me and my sisters dislike them very much, we all like the smell of the real ones... X_x

Last year our 6ft tree (fake) broke, so we had to throw it out. But this year we got a new 9ft tree (fake) that's even better!

I get 2 real christmas trees, one for the front room and another for the living room, one 12 footer, and one 5 footer :) usually.

Real Christmas trees are more work with picking up all the needles and stuff, but it pays off because it looks so... almost, magical..

ohh i see because i have 3 fake ones and 1 real one the fake ones are on our front yard and back yard and the real inside i thought it ment by like the tree is FAKE and real at the same time

But, the other year I made a Christmas tree for my hamster :D I used this plastic bottle and taped paper that was green and had spots on it to it. Then I made a paper star and put peanuts under it. Sweet Pea loved peanuts... I miss her :(

We have a Fake one... me and my mom are both algergic to the real ones so if we had a real one it would be a very sneezy christmas season:rolleyes:

But it works nice. Someday I'll get both when I do the choosing xD

Both would be helpful - you can see whether you like one or the other better!
