Actually all the start pieces were backwards when I got in. Hula was running around changing them. That's what kept the line from moving.

I just tried a few times, read on the forums, read the info for event, thn tried and got in.

It opened more than 10 minutes late, I searched until 5:40, then my computer froze and I had to do 3 minutes of CTRL-ALT-DEL to get it off, then another 4 minutes to get everything logged back on (my computer has to generate that send error message query all the time, wish I could turn that off), and now can't get into the game. My search early strategy didn't work, obviously, and I probably won't get into the game. I'm so depressed right now.

I lost, now it's the task of trying to get back in.

The problem with this type of game is that all these players that lose just get back in line so players that play this game this game fairly never get in.

I guess my tequine isn't working, the part i dont like is reading what other people are saying about people who try more than once just to get in.

This is at least as bad as the Halloween event last year, and mainly due to the queues. Then the problem was lines of more than 600 people and two-to-three hour waits only to get disconnected either in line or once in the maze. To me, the problem wasn't the wait, but the disconnection. They have pretty much fixed that, but they decided to fix "long queue times" as well. That actually just makes things worse because people then spend that time trying to get into the queues. If I was in I could do something besides clicking all the time. The solution to these problems is either quit limited queues for host games (never liked that idea, and it doesn't really solve the problem, just moves it) or offer more than one room (each of which would have equal number of prizes available, ect.).

That is my point exactly! Cl's just stand there so supior (not trying to sound childish) and do nothing as people as you said talk to the Host. Fin reconizes me, but she can't memorize everyone.

And Princessannanicole that's also a great point. I remember going out and playing football with my dad while i waited in line. I prefered that much more because I was able to let it go nowing i wouldn't get in and then later just go to the room that gave away prizes to the dissconected, aka everyone. It was extremly more convienent. What annoys me though is that pop up they give you about coming back later. It's like splash mountain at WDW when the only time that it's less than an hour to two hour line is during the fireworks or right after the park closed if you have one of those things that let stay in the park longer

Actually, Hula did this tonight. She was there for 10 minutes then went quiet. (I was there when it happened.) Then she left. I stayed for a few minutes to ask people to move along and then left myself. The odd thing is that even if host isn't there, people still ask questions to them and then wait for a response. If they don't get one, they just ask again. My opinion is that a CL should stay in the room to answer questions. That would actually make it go faster. If I answered, they moved on.

Oh, and in case you were wondering - I lost too! :snow_cool:

OMG what is wrong with these people in the room? NO questions need to be asked! Feel lucky click on a start piece and see if you win or not. If you don't win, get back in line if people would go faster then they would be able to get in line quicker causing less problems if you lose! If you are on the FORUMS and you have gone in to the HOST line more than 2 times you are out of your mind! The spoiler was pointed in the first couple of pages!!

Yeah, I guess its because you get the message and not a trade window, although it is more efficient. The odd thing is, though, the fact that we can't get in line isn't because of people not moving. The line moves like crazy and is very efficient. They can get anywhere from 1500 (if people are being slow and the queue is taking 2 min total to get through) to 3000 (if they are moving fast and the queue only takes 1 min) per hour. This is anywhere from 4500 to 9000 players through throughout the entire event. It's just that everyone tries getting in at once, and players who lost are repeating. After more players win their prize or give up, its easier to get in because your competing with less people. Really, you can move up a spot almost every second, which means a spot opens almost every second. It's who is that fraction of a second faster who gets in. Glad to see that persistence paid off for so many people, just like with me, and I really was about to give up, I had to go to the gym, and decided to log back on and try after I made it, and it worked. It might actually be a better idea to wait until later on (a little) to try, less competition for room space. Also, sorry for anyone that I messed up when they got in but glad I helped those who got in when the teleporter was still in that spot. That's where it was when I went through.

They should still be giving out green candy canes at other host events, probably all week so you could probably get one trying some of those. Good luck!

Thanks for the explanation.. We just joined at the end of October so I am trying to still figure things out.. Had never tried one of there before. Next time I will log off my account and get on her's but it was so close to 8:30 when I tried I didn't think I wouldh ave enough time! :D It was really fun though..

I thought they were trying to be nice, they were telling people to go through the wrong teleporter, I'm back in for my third try :rolleyes:

When I played it was the one in the middle of the bottom row on the right (your right as you're looking at the screen.)

I hope that's okay to say, but it stinks to wait so long to get in and then not win anything.

Now instead of waiting one line, you have to wait two lines in host events. Isn't that just jolly? (the photo is me in line for the prize room)

You can keep going back to the host room as often as you can get in line, but after you win once, you can't get another prize for that event.

Before I got in line the room description said Green Candy Cane, but I'd line the Host Pin for January.

You think we'll get any new Host prizes for January? Or will the First Down Marker be around as the only prize available? I don't know about you, but I already have 10 extras and would really like something new.....

I think they will be giving out the 1st Down Marker till they start the new games for January. Since they still have the same games as December, and they can't give out anymore Green Candy Canes or Wreath Pins, that's my guess. :)

There will be a host-only pin, to be sure. :)
